Anfield waiting to conquer the City of Liverpool

      Players arriving to Anfield

Starting XI: Mignolet, Gomez, Klavan, Lovren, Robertson, Milner, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Solanke.

Subs: Karius, Wijnaldum, Firmino, Coutinho, Can, Ings, Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool make six changes for this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Everton at Anfield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke come in to join Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in attack, with Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino on the bench.

Daniel Sturridge is ruled out of the fixture due to a tight hamstring.

6 British players in a derby for LFC.  Been a while that.  Come on you red men!

For me, we still have the power to beat them. I like the team, I have my doubts because we're against Everton. I know I'm contradicting myself... So I will shut up and support the team.

      Come on Reds.

F**k me that line up is weak! Lovren, Klavan in defence, Milner, Hendo and Ox all in midfield. Solanke and Robertson who have barely played 5mins for us.

Coutinho and Firmino dropped to the bench despite a load of goals and assist between them in the last 2 games.

Talk about causing unnecessary pressure on ourselves. This is the game of their season so despite their form, they will see our weaknesses and look to exploit them.
We should have gone strongest line up, got the game won and then look to take off the key men early in the 2nd half. Or even look to play this line up in the week, not the derby for god sake.

      Unimpressed to be honest.

Jürgen my god mate you certainly love a change or 6, looking at it once you get over the shock you can start to understand why,

Its a brave shout from the boss but he's up for the battle that Neverton will bring,
I'm still confident albeit slightly diluted from earlier, obviously the 5-0 most definitely won't happen now but a win for the Mighty Reds ? yes definitely .....

      3-1

Surprising that. Would have thought the rotation in recent weeks was to set us up to play our strongest team for both the Spartak game and this one.

Less confident now but still think we'll nick it.

Must admit my confidence has been dented with that lineup.

We've given them a chance IMO because Firmino, Coutinho, Mane and Salah together would kill these lot and I was looking forward to seeing it.

Its a risk so we will see how it all pans out.

Klopp clearly trying to prevent us hitting the wall in January like we did last year but I don't like the team. Would have made more sense to bring a few off earlier in the game during midweek rather than resting them for the derby. Jürgen playing with fire here. Hope it pays off.
