I thought Phil turned in one of the most self indulgent performances I’ve seen in a very long time.

Hollywood ball after Hollywood ball or caught in possession.

He was far from the only one but that was frustrating.

To be fair to him our players did get a little bit "give it to Coutinho" near the end. Hate to see that personally.

We were hammering Everton...We were outplaying WBA

That's the delusion. Actually they outplayed us by giving us the ball, sitting back and watching us screwing it. Too often that works.

It can be hard sometimes for the front four to function when the ball coming from behind is slow and sh*te.

I for one hope Can does not sign a contract. Average player on the wage bill.

No one played well except Karius. It was 4s and 5s all over the pitch. Says it all

Well at least Karius had a good night.

And yes...of course he's better than Mignolet.

Listen it's already been well established you have no clue about what you're watching so there really is no need to hammer it home with utter w*nk comments like this.

West Brom had 7 corners to our 4, they had 2 shots on target to our 5 but both had Karius scrambling, I can't recall Foster being particularly troubled by any of our efforts, no great saves from him needed.

Baffled as to why Coutinho is getting criticism tonight, I thought he was the best of a bad bunch in terms of our attackers. Tried his hardest to make things happen and got himself on the ball repeatedly. I was more disappointed with Firmino, Mane and to a lesser extent Salah.

Tactically I think we needed to switch to 4-4-2 mid-game, get the ball wide, look to set up some 2 on 1s against their fullbacks and make things happen with crosses and cut-backs. That's something Klopp does not seem to favour but I would have been happy to see Ox come on to play on the right and play Salah through the middle or even on the left. TAA and Robertson (who was very disappointing with the ball tonight, he played more safe passes than we see from Moreno and that's saying something) are both terrific crossers of a ball. That's how we should have game-planned for that last half hour of the match.

As for the disallowed goal. I'd have been pissed if it was given against us, intentional or not, it should stand if the last touch is from the arm or hand as that one was. But gutted for Solanke who was denied scoring a Kop end winner.

Not sure that's true though is it, we have generally been smashing the lesser teams and have then looked poor against the better sides, in fact it's been the opposite of last season when the reverse was true.
Aside of our recent good run, yes we have been sh*te, this has been happening for two seasons now, all the possession and not beating lesser sides who defend, NOT GOOD ENOUGH

On Sunday we basically played well and got robbed, albeit with the help of a couple of mistakes.
Tonight we were sh*te, but also got robbed.

Was more gutted on sunday to be honest, mainly cos we deserved a win, whereas tonight we were just sh*t. Everybody's touch seemed off. Mane especially, but Cou kept runing into trouble ( to be fair at least he tried to take people on), Firmino was very quiet, Can and Gini offered very little from midfield ( apart from a few stupid fouls from the former). Only TAA really had a decent game ( although he looked to be tiring before he went off). Solanke at least gave us a presence up front when he came on, and was unlucky with the goal.

After the disappointment of the weekend I'd want to see a reaction - come out and lay siege to the fuckers. Instead we got a really flat, insipid performance.

Almost as many draws than wins now . Poor effort from front 6 very predictable lack of width and quality balls into box .

I thought he was our best player out there in the 2nd half. Took command/control and was looking for our players inbetween the lines, initiating attacks etc. If only we had a player who could play as an attacking midfielder when Coutinho dropped deep!

Could have been worse - you could have paid £150 for a hospitality ticket in the Main Stand tonight.

Shout out to Karius for another clean sheet - which he did actually earn.

      That's all I've got.

Bet Karius will be dropped next game. :(

I think Klopp's current system needs just too much quality. He'd need the quality of MC or MU to succeed. In Dortmund/Mainz he had a different system that needed less quality to succeed. In Dortmund he didn't play the ball possession football of now, but a vertical one-touch football that gave the opponent the initiative to use it to counter. I wonder why Klopp changed.

This bothers me far far more. Knowing we had dropped two points on Sunday, this was an opportunity to put that to rights. 4 points over the two games would have been decent.

But from the first whistle, the players (and the crowd) couldn't have looked less up for it if they tried. I've seen more activity and excitement in an old folks home (which, ironically, is what Anfield is becoming when you take one look at the crowd!).

Slow, unimaginative, confused, stilted...and that was just Gini alone.

Yeah, I was hopeful every time he was on the ball, but whenever Can or Gini had it I kinda went to sleep until the moved it along. We've got serious problems in there and they're being masked by our front lads.

For all our panache and brilliance we don't win ugly. The best teams can win ugly, we have to find a way. But to win ugly you need a predator type goalscorer somewhere in your squad.

Fab4 can wipe the floor with teams..away from home when they have the space. But against a packed organised defense they have to be on blob or it goes sour. But i'm not to surprised as it will go to the wire as it usually does.
