We lost 7-2 to Villa with him. We also started struggling after the Covid break with him at helm. I don't know. Someone at LFC rather looks very closely if this is about injuries to main guys or some basic problem in the team as a whole. I think our dry spell is due to injuries, but there's also a danger to overlook the real problems because injuries give you a cheap way of explanation.

Look back on the UCL and League trophies and one hand out of two is his!

Not likely  back in team training until preseason 21-22, Klopp says. Same fkr Gomez and Matip.

No way should he or Joe be rushed back fkr Euros. Would be criminal.

You were in disbelief that Klopp played a fit Jota in a CL dead rubber match because he got injured, but you're fine and dandy with Virgil playing in an intense international tournament when he is barely match fit after a season out injured.

That doesn't strike you as odd?

No, not really, it depends if the medical teams clear him or not and on Virgil himself. Put it this way I'd rather Virgil plays a few competitive matches before the start of the new season than not, I don't want him starting completely cold.

The crucial thing is that he needs to be medically cleared to play matches and it needs to be a gentle reintroduction.

Don't think they will be. Far too serious of injuries to rush them back.

See VVD hasn’t even been included in the dutch subs.
And rightly so ! Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Wouldn't they need permission from LFC to include him in any capacity?

They were never going to include him. He'll be there for fitness evaluation and tactical reasons should he make it in time for the Euros.
