Given the actions of PSG this summer, I think we've given ourselves extra insurance on our very best. I read an Echo article where Wenger predicted this would happen where big players would run their contract down while being tapped up by filth like PSG who can offer them the world in wages.

Great strategy and could prove to be critical in the years ahead.

Made up meself Cas, got to admit Virgil’s pre-season appearances left me feeling a bit cautious about his Prem come back.
He seemed nervous going into tackles compared to his fearless pre-injury image.
Glad to say my fears were unfounded.

I guess he was always going to be slightly cautious at first after the horrendous injury he endured, you can see it slowly coming back though, fortunately him and Joel weren't under too much pressure yesterday so could take it relatively easy.

Another couple of weeks and he'll be back to his very best I'm sure.

Love this player so much; alongside Mo & Ali, most important player in the team.
