Watched the Sky highlights and you can hear and audible Ali, just not sure if that was Ali or Virg shouting.

It all happened so fast but there really needs to be a shout either way in instances like that, Virg is looking at the ball with his back to play. His only awareness is the distance between Ali and the ball and he isn’t your typical hack it clear defender.

Turns out the goal never should've stood anyway, didn't appear to be any review for VAR as it's not your conventional play for what would be deemed as offside.

Comments from Virgil last night to say that he has no clue if he is staying at the club next season. It really does sound like there is very little communication taking place between the club and his agent. At what point does Hughes’s pull his finger out of his ass to get these talks happening frequently with a view to getting a deal done?? We simply can’t let him walk. Well VVD and Salah are doing a pretty good job playing along with the charade if that’s the case! I wanted it to believe that but comments from both players recently suggest there’s a good chance they’ll be off. Just keep everything crossed I guess.
