Best CB we've had for a while and the best in the league in my opinion. I've been genuinely shocked by his pace, haven't seen many players run past him! Hopefully he stays fit.

He's a leader and I'd love to see him wearing the captain's armband next season.

Yep, they both hit a free kick well but nothing wrong with some competition. Unless you’ve got an absolute dead ball specialist like Messi, Beckham, Juninho etc then it’s fair game.

I mean to be honest, he really could be talked about as the best overall player in the league. Has to be the signing of the decade doesn’t he? Is that over exaggerating?

What I loved about him the most today was that from the start, he was even more commanding and watching out for the back line, giving instructions and making sure things didn't get sloppy. He was encouraging Fabinho and getting everyone in position. Such a great leader.

There was a point in the game when one of their attackers is only a couple yards from him with the ball with VVD and the attacker moves towards him to try to press then just stops in his tracks. His mind took over his heart probably thinking to himself not worth it.
