Even with that f**k up between himself, Milny and Becker, he didn't flinch, he didn't look angry or upset or even flustered. He has that belief that we can turn any situation around and that's just what we did.

      A Rock!

Not just a great player, but a seriously strong character.
Thought the keeper was mainly at fault myself, but sooo pleased we won the game - would've been a terrible way to cough up 2 points.

      Just one of those things.

We have the benefit of seeing things from a high angle, plus slow motion replays.

When something unfolds at ground level, it looks different and a lot quicker.
I think he just got caught in 2 minds, and was unable to react in time.
      No big deal, sh*t happens.

Just a simple miscommunication between the two, probably the first time it’s happened. My take on it was Virgil wanted a shout from Alisson as to whether to head it back to him, pass it back to him or leave it for him whilst at the same time I think Alisson was expecting Virgil to pass it back to him...given the way Alisson went at it with his feet when he could have collected it with his hands.

I’d say it’s lucky we got away with it this time but I think that would maybe suggest it could happen again but I think 99% of the time the communication has been there. Probably partly so used to Alisson being so quick of his line but the initial slice by Milner I think surprised everyone a bit.

If it was Migs and Lovren I might be a little worried but Virgil and Alisson are both mentally strong and it’s nothing to worry about and it hasn’t been before either.

What impressed me most though is that both Virgil and Milner are accepting responsibility for it and not trying some BS excuse or trying to palm it off on other players. It would be happening at some clubs. Just look at how City are so quick to start bitching among themselves in defence.

I'm of the same opinion, do you think he should of caught VVD header?

Yep, that's the keepers ball to win, the header was a bit short, but keeper has to put his body on the line sometimes and he could and should have claimed it.

For me VVD was mainly at fault because it looks like he tells alisson that he is dealing with it but alisson was shocked as everyone else that he didn't and seemed off guard.

Just a freak moment where two world class players and one of the most experienced players in the league all made mistakes in the same phase of play.

When it happened I did think back to Kolo gifting West Brom an equaliser in the 13/14 season but we got out of jail this time.

      It won't happen again.

Did Alisson not try to grab it with his hands because he may have thought it was a backpass?

I genuinely believe this man is going to get us a trophy this season. He’s a winner.

Inject this into my veins. Deffo the most watched goal for me this season - right up there with AOC’s rocket against city.

Liverpool - the gift that keeps on giving.

Apparently, 80/1 to win Ballon d'Or. I think it's worth a punt, especially if we win CL.

Problem is they just don't seem to give them to defenders. He's certainly earned his place to be a contender

Maybe it will change this year? I'd say put £10-£100 on it and take a gamble!!!

Fabio Cannavaro the last one right? Didn’t even deserve it IMO, was all just hyped around a good World Cup and a move to Madrid from what I remember.

A brilliant CB who made up for his lack of height with a great football brain.
And that partnership with Nesta has never been bettered imo.

Not questioning his ability or career, just questioning whether he actually deserved to win it because from what I remember, he didn’t.

Yep! I’d imagine it would be VVD, Aguero or Sterling depending on who wins it. Big Virg is the best centre-back the league has seen in years though!

Ballon D'Or has lost it's reputation for me. How the F**k Salah didn't win it and that c**t Modric did, is beyond me.
