Cyrille Regis. So sad, 5yrs older than me.

Never saw him as a black player, just a great player, that I wouldn't have minded him playing for us.

RIP, and condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Dolores ,Totally shocked when I heard the news.
Loved the cranberries and her voice. I know she had a troubled life.
The album No Need To Argue almost single-handedly got me through a difficult year in 1994.

Genuinely sad about hearing this news. One of English football's greatest ambassadors and for me the best co commentator British football ever had.

Loved listening to him on a Saturday afternoon on 5 Live throughout the years. Such a warm, friendly voice and an absolute gentleman as well. There's a lot of dead air now in his passing that is impossible to fill. He was one of the few legends who was able to link the past with the present - the colour with which he described his playing days at Blackpool and England reminds me that, for all its faults, English football remains the very best, most pure form of the game. And all because of men like him.

      Rest in peace Jimmy.

R.I.P Mark E Smith of the Fall
A real one off & a typical northern lad who said it how it was.
Football rivalry aside Manchester produced some fantastic bands over  the decades & The fall were one of them.

      Yep RIP.

Too young to be taken from their families - ultimately only because they were good at kicking a ball about a field.
