Gini and Lallana are producing little in the way of creativity in midfield

Bit harsh on can IMO, gini doesnt pass the ball upwards and we are creating nothing. Can is trying too hard to make something and usually loses the ball. Atleast he is trying rather then hiding and passing the ball around

Can has been sh*t but I agree the burden of creating something is entirely on him as Gini doesn't ever try to run with the ball or make a forward pass.

That Gini - Can combination is pretty uninspiring as a whole, been that way for a long time

Fair enough - thankfully he only got a few months with us before Kenny shipped him off.

So many occasions that Can has carelessly given a corner or a throw in or just vacated his position on the field that has lead to an easy chance for the opposition. I struggle to see why he's in the Germany squad.

Yeah he's quite isolated but it frustrates me to see such a tall striker not challenging in the air. Origi was the same, no aerial dominance whatsoever, despite his height. Firmino isn't that tall but always challenges. His aerial success rate is probably low because he challenges even balls that are entirely in the favour of defenders, but at least he's making life difficult for them, keeping them unsettled
