      No Van Dijk tonight apparently.

So here we are nearing the end of this window...we have lost Coutinho, gained £146m...lost Sturridge on a bleedin' loan deal and now our new £75m defender has gone on the sick.....well happy feckin' new year everybody...

      I'd go with:

      Karius

      TAA
      Gomez
      Matip
      Robbo

      Hendo
      Alex
      Milner

      Mane
      Firmino
      Salah

With Alex just off the front 3.

      0-1

No VAR in this game although the pundits have been VARing us for years. So with no VAR my bet is we get cheated two or three times.

Does VAR make the game better. Make for a fairer outcome or damage the spontaneity of the game. The jury's out on it, but I suspect it's here to stay. Suppose with so much at stake these days, the use of technology was inevitable.

No more Belgian chocolate in goal till the end of the season. That's my only wish. Tends to melt in goal whenever put out there. :lmao:

It's a must win game this one now isnt it?

Shouldn't feel this much pressure playing Huddersfield but I do.

I think the pressure is welcomed after our last 2 performances, more pressure the better I say.

Klopp keeps playing the same old sh*te in the midfield. It likes a sign of madness - expecting different results from the same midfield.

This is not kneejerk. I have been saying it for last two years now. I wish Klopp would try someone new for a change. For example, Woodburn. I am not sure he will do any better than the sh*te of Wini, Henderson, Can & co but he *can't* do worse. How is Woodburn actually going break into the 1st team unless he is given a chance when the other midfield sh*te is really shitting themselves! He could have played Woodburn in the last game in the 2nd half to see if he gives something different to the three stooges in the midfield.

I am just fed up of seeing the same old faces delivering the same old results. It has been made worse with Coutinho leaving of course.

Anyway, I hope we scrap thru to a  2-1 win today.

Too late to revise prediction, I suppose, went for a 2  0 win for the Reds. Looking optimistic if there are so many first teamers missing, by the sound of things !

Really trying to put the recent transfer outs at the back of my mind and focusing on a win here. Even with Virgil out we should be having these lads. I know we all thought the same with Swansea and West Brom but here goes😉

You should be more worried about falling off the edge of the world....or all the water spilling over the edge..

Really at a total loss for predicting a scoreline for this
I know what kind of performance and reaction I expect from the team but after the last couple of results....
Says a huge amount that a game against Huddersfield has me baffled.
This game, the spurs match and the two legs against Porto will define our season.
Keeping my the faith but the current situation is testing my resolve.

I’m hoping this is the start of our recovery, rather than the continuation of our demise.
We should clearly have enough to beat these, but I expect the players are all wondering what they’ve done wrong to deserve the last two results. I doubt any of them feel wholly responsible for the way the games went, and probably don’t have s clue how to change it.
That comes down to the coaches. They need to come up with something new when dudes park the bus, but they’ve failed miserably with that one over the last few seasons.
The worry is, West Brom cut through us pretty easily going forward with pace, so we’ve two aspects of play to consider.
Breaking through the bus, and holding it together when defending.
I think Huddersfield will have a go at home, and may play right into our hands, but I’m sure their manager is pretty astute, although with limited talent.

Can we pull it off ? I think the problem could be underestimating the opposition. Why on earth don’t we go sides like we did city. Ok, they might not all come out and play, but if we keep the ball moving around their box without any penetration, we’re just running the clock down. Someone needs to step up and have s go at them, but whoever that is, needs the support of runners in varying directions to open up the gaps. No good someone having a go with everyone else watching motionless. We gotta do this together, everyone running their nuts off, not just strolling around trying to look superior !
And we don’t need to push everyone up so we get undone by long balls.
Anyway, pissed right off st the mo, and praying we get through this with a big win and 3 huge points.
Gone for 1:3 as I just don’t see a clean sheet for us st the mo, but sure we’ll sharpen up the finishing.
