Great game and a great result, we never do things the easy way  ;D.
Just like to say how gracious Pep was towards us after we had just taken their unbeaten record away from them, unlike that tw*t Maureen would have been.

      What a game.

4-3 flattered City as I felt we should have put them away 5-1, 5-2. What a performance from the lads. Robbo, Oxlade, Bobby, Mane, Can, Salah, all shone for me.

We missed a bit of creativity and spark in the middle of the park from our old No.10, but the lads were brilliant. Had a feeling going in to this game that they were there for the taking.

      Has anyone seen Sterling?

Hey guess what...it wasn't a hard and fast set in concrete must do....it was just as a compliment to Robbo's energy...have a day off..

But its nonsense, he just played more or less the perfect LB game and you want to move him to another position, just to showhorn Moreno back into the side, its just a bit weird.

Great performance from everyone but the defense is still a worrying concern. Gomez made a costly mistake again, while he was solid throughout the whole game. Karius was showing a lot of serenity and if he had save this Sane's shot, we would probably have had a much easier game.

Ox, Can and Wijnaldum were impressive...

Robertson is really a good player, I'm not worried a bit about having him in the first team.

It's been an eye opener with Hendo out, and I'd have been one of those defending Jordan. That's not to say I now think Hendo is crap, but we haven't really suffered by him being unavailable.

Saw a stat that we've won every single game when Henderson hasn't been in the matchday squad.

No but it does define you. That said for the first time today I'm impressed with Sterling - tweeting while in Andy Robertson's back pocket takes some skill

Will never beat Lescott though who used his arse to send a tweet to wind up Villa fans :D

      Wow.
And tho I think a stat can be dug up to argue almost anything, if I was Jordan and someone told me THAT, I wouldn't be feeling as secure. Tho Milners decline and Can leaving probably would have me thinking am still needed.
Still, think even his fans would accept he needs to be more positive on the ball and get stuck in more.
The longer he is out tho, the worse for him imho, particularly if the team keeps performing as they have been...

      How good was that!
Absolutely brilliant from the REDS, and off course the customary nervy ending just to add to the excitement.

I went for Robertson as my MOTM, although i think Ox, Can and Gini also deserve a special mention for keeping the City midfielders quiet for large parts of the game.
Each one of our goals were top class finishes, while the ones conceded were very sloppy. It remains clear to me where our priority to strengthen the team should be, definitely not up front.

The hunger and desire to win was superior and i could sense the wonderful crowd atmosphere even watching it on tv.

From a 4- 1 lead to being on the edge of your seat contemplating an equaliser is a concerning end game, more so following the absolute genius of those previous goals.

What a game, would have been a shame to miss it! We did it :)

MOTM AOC but Robertson, Salah, Mane, Firmino all of them deserved it as well.

Our defense is our Achilles :(

I nearly broke some furniture when their 3rd went in, would've been gutted to even draw. Thankfully alls well that ended well.. but doesn't hide that we still have work to do in our final third. Tho having a fit VVD would've made some difference.

Had a stinking hangover all day but it was well worth it! Brilliant game of football. Classic Rock Star Klopp football. Still not sure who to give MOTM to, think I might have to go for Can who was excellent (plus I've been giving him some stick recently). When I see him play like that I think 'offer him what he wants and keep the lad". FairPlay to Klopp, we pressed the sh*t out of them, even at 4-1 there was no retreat. Live by the sword die by the sword football! What a run we are on at the moment. Really impressive. Still a few concerns defensively but I think we will always have those under Jürgen but at least we have VVD and hopefully they will spend a good chunk of the Coutinho cash on a quality keeper come the summer.

I was thinking to myself, if Emre can play like that week in week out with Gini and Ox around him with Keita in for Gini next year, that would be a midfield i would have a lot of confidence in.

The passion the lad showed in that game too, he could be a real leader for us, it would be a shame if he left for me.

That defensive frailty is still apparent mate, we still need strength in depth in that department.
The though of playing in the CL for instance with that chink in our armour is unthinkable.

Gave my motm to Ox. Felt like he really set the tone with the opening goal and he's taking charge as a leader as well.

Right - and yea, I meant our defensive third.
In our final 3rd - up front - we're doing quite nicely :)
