well the League of Nations is back. Initially set up after WW! to stop Europe falling into another catastrophe. Andy Millman should be the mascot.

Just after the 2nd world war finished there was a team made up of Great Britain players  to play the rest of Europe.L.F.C. supporters should be very proud of our very own Billy Liddell who played for the Great Britain team.He was special .

England really need to move away from the 3 at the back and start looking into players like, Winks, Maddison, Mount and Foden.

Absolutely these are the sort of games to give some of the youngsters a bit of experience, we all know what to expect from the likes of Delph and Wellbeck

Some of England's passing at the back has been absolutely comical.

He played anywhere across the front five in today's lingo.I might be biased but in my mind Billy Liddell was the greatest Liverpool player ever.He never let his head drop and gave maximum effort from the minute he stepped onto the pitch. We were not called Liddellpool for nothing.I have so many memories of the man I could go on and on about him.

that was painful to watch. Had two really good chances in first 20 minutes, after that was a cat and mouse game.

So England still can't beat a single decent team?

Going tomorrow to the Estádio da Luz to watch Portugal vs Italy.

      how was it?

It was ok! Portugal deserved the win but I'm not Fernando Santos' biggest fan to be honest. I thought he was lucky as hell to win the Euro and is still living off that reputation.

Italy, though, are beyond recognition. Must be one of the weakest Italian teams I've seen in a long time.

Never understood why so many people can't see how good Wijnaldum is. Been banging the Wijnaldum drum ever since he arrived. Great player.

Some very interesting players in that young, Dutch side too. De Light having a particularly poor game though. Other than that I really like Bergwijn and love Frenkie De Jong, amazing young player.

Looking forward to the Belgium - Netherlands friendly next week.

Yeah, tbh, I was one of those posters who didn't fully understand and appreciate Wijnaldum until you pointed me into the right direction  :D He is so tactically aware, but on top of that, a fantastic footballer and athletic.

I think the Dutch are missing that 1 exceptional/world class attacking player to take them to the next level, but yeah, they have a very strong young team. And I didn't know they were playing Belgium next week! Can't wait!!!

Gini has stepped it up another level this season though. Fair to say that before this season when games turned into a battle he would go missing.
