That Van dijk header just a basic lesson there for Klopp. I mean ive never seen him reduced to having to do it at Dortmund but this is the squad he has assembled. When the workhorses cant create anything the cart horse has to go up front earlier.

Basic management for a basic team like ours. Get your big man up earlier if your going to build a team where the threat comes from your full back crossing balls in from 35 yards out.

If we're really going to go down this route post Coutinho then i'm afraid it should be us not Chelsea after a big shothouse striker.

The disallowed goal sums that up VVD no where near the penalty spot which is where your so called dominant header of a ball instead hes marking jack at the back post and just watches

Migs, Alexander, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Can, Milner, and Henderson.

Perhaps a little harsh on Gini who has the odd game. Either way, when you play those players at the same time, you're going to struggle.

Our crossing was simply - shocking. Not sure TAA has it, but I'm pretty sure Moreno doesn't as he has too many gaffs. Thought a lot of our problems came from the fact our fullbacks were pretty horrible tonight.

I was thinking the same. We are always looking for our full backs and wide players to create, and I remember this happening when Coutinho was out "injuried", so we might as well go for target men and just have our wide players cross into the box.

Piss poor all round really. Starting midfield was pathetic today. Defence all over the place and the keeper a continued embarrassment !
Great performances from individuals seem too many games apart, and we always seem to be carrying one or two players.
After recent performances, mignolet shouldnt be playing for any team st Anfield, including U 18s.
Moreno clearly wasn’t ready, TAA was bullied out of it and his crosses were very poor. With his stuttering performance he should never have taken the free kick. Not only were the crosses into the box playing into their hands, we often only had two players in there, and too many on the edge of the box waiting for the second ball, which they invariably lost, instead of attacking the first ball !
WB didn’t really park the bus till 50 mins or so, but still looked more of a threat going forward than us.
Migs, Can, Moreno, and Gini need shipping out before the end of Jan and spend big to get the right players in !
Been decent for a while now, but consistency is a big problem, and those who are on the edge need changing.

Migs for sure, and Moreno just returned from injury , so I will cut him some slack (but not against him leaving) and TAA is still a kid . As for our midfield, honestly, they are exceptional at what they do, but specialists they are not, we need balance!

two players in the midfield need replacing with two that have real quality... milner may look solid to some from time to time but work rate is all he really brings to the game, and Henderson is great if you want the ball passed side ways and back...If you add those two to Gini (not the most creative player) then you can see where our problems begin
