I’m hoping this is the start of our recovery, rather than the continuation of our demise.
We should clearly have enough to beat these, but I expect the players are all wondering what they’ve done wrong to deserve the last two results. I doubt any of them feel wholly responsible for the way the games went, and probably don’t have s clue how to change it.
That comes down to the coaches. They need to come up with something new when dudes park the bus, but they’ve failed miserably with that one over the last few seasons.
The worry is, West Brom cut through us pretty easily going forward with pace, so we’ve two aspects of play to consider.
Breaking through the bus, and holding it together when defending.
I think Huddersfield will have a go at home, and may play right into our hands, but I’m sure their manager is pretty astute, although with limited talent.
Can we pull it off ? I think the problem could be underestimating the opposition. Why on earth don’t we go sides like we did city. Ok, they might not all come out and play, but if we keep the ball moving around their box without any penetration, we’re just running the clock down. Someone needs to step up and have s go at them, but whoever that is, needs the support of runners in varying directions to open up the gaps. No good someone having a go with everyone else watching motionless. We gotta do this together, everyone running their nuts off, not just strolling around trying to look superior !
And we don’t need to push everyone up so we get undone by long balls.
Anyway, pissed right off st the mo, and praying we get through this with a big win and 3 huge points.
Gone for 1:3 as I just don’t see a clean sheet for us st the mo, but sure we’ll sharpen up the finishing.
