I'm guessing you've seen more of him than most on here Diego.

      How good is he?
By what i read in English media they rate Ederson high despite those errors he commited due to that exotic playing style. Well, Alisson is better than Ederson and should be more expensive.

      Cheers mate.

I like Karius and always thought he needed a run to establish himself.

Wouldn't stop me buying this guy though and getting rid of Migs.

Exactly, if you  can buy a good player, do it...worry about how to deal with people's egos and playing time later.

To be honest I was unconvinced when he became Brazil's number 1, he had been good for Inter but I didn't think at the time he had been tested enough there.

These past few months though, he's grown a lot in my estimation, he's been extremely good for Roma, some great performances, very solid numbers, and he might not be as good as Ederson with his passing but he's shown a lot of ability to play with his feet as well.

no thanks. 62 million is outrageous for when Karius is doing well.

Why is 62 million for one of the best Goalkeepers in the world outrageous when we just sold a midfielder for £140 million and bought a defender for £75million?

Personally I find it weird that Goalkeepers are not the most expensive player in any team, just look at De Gea and the amount of points he has saved Manure, he is every bit if not more important that Lukaku at the other end.

Goalkeepers do come under a lot of scrutiny and it tends to push their evaluation down, Ederson is the most expensive goalkeeper in the world at £34.7m. If we were to pay for £35m Becker it would still be the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.. I could get behind that idea. When we almost double the record, I would only be cool with that if we had garbage in goal, but we have Karius playing well so it is debatable if we need to pay that much. I would say it is best described with conditionals.

      If Karius plays well
            62 million is too much
      else
62 million has to be spent

Would I be happy paying 62m for Becker? Not really, because it means we will invest less in another areas.. such as offer less money for Jorginho etc... We need to get him and not City if we want to rival City for the league.
If Karius performances drop, then I agree it is a very important area and we would just have to fork out.

This guy is quality. He Is probably 2 levels above Karius/Mignolet.

60m or under would be great business IMO. Would be a signing that would definitely win us points over the season. Please make it happen Jürgen.

I think if we can get this guy, Jorginho  (Napoli) - proper ball winner, and a striker to go with Naby Keita, we can at least push City next season.

I'm totally cool with this if Loris maintains his form until May and remains injury beyond summer. Aside from the 3 positions that were already earmarked for summer - Winger, #10 & #6 - this would probably mean we would have funds available for another striker.

So true. Makes a change from pretending to be interested in a player and then low balling them so we get told to F**k off i suppose?

Didn't contact the club, contacted the player's reps. The difference being if we had expressed some interest earlier, the player and his agent are planning what move to make, and as a courtesy our club is saying we won't be following up interest. Seems decent eDnough, especially as we may be dealing with other clients of said agent in the future.

Strong rumors today that he is off to Real for €60 mil.

Aaahhh we should've done a double deal with Roma last year!

Tried to watch him a few times since we've been linked and have to say he looks like an absolute top keeper so if we don't sign him, it's just a matter of time before he becomes number one for a top team.

Define a top team please, because I would personally put LFC in that bracket, certainly in terms of direction of travel.

Wasn't saying we weren't a top team. Just saying that if we don't sign him, another big team will because he's top class.

If Chelsea dont finish in the top 4, there is every chance Thibaut Courtois will end up at Real as he enters the final year of his contract. Real might be tempted by a comparatively lower fee and allows them to spend big on other targets.

Courtois is probably the most overrated goalkeeper in Europe
