Well, on another day, the MOTM would have gone to Mane, but Milner for me was the MOTM, he was everywhere tonight, and how he left the pitch without a yellow i really don't know ;D! Robertson and Firmino had stand out games too!

Put five past a team who hadn't lost at home in 24 games too.
      Ruthless.

Struggling to recall a more professional and complete performance. People will try to tell you that Porto are a poor lot but don’t listen to them. The truth is, Porto were poor because we made them look poor. They had a sight or 2 at our goal but in truth they never really got close.

VVD absolute class and brings unparalleled composure to our backline. Lovren was absolutely superb and think he might actually thrive alongside the big man.

What more can be said about our front 3? Mane back with a bang and his hat trick cementing a MOTM display (although there were a few contenders).

Not much point talking about individual performances because everyone was so good. That was really amazing to watch and I'm a very proud Liverpool fan tonight.

I'm not getting carried away because there is much tougher competition left in this tournament, however surely everyone will be looking at Liverpool and thinking 'F**k me, these guys are good'

Actually, I think Milner deserves a special mention. 10/10 performance from him tonight.

I hope Klopp doesn't field a weaker side in second leg.

European masterclass from the reds, there. Utterly enjoyable to watch. Like the boss said before the game, "let's play football".

And that's what we F***ing done!

Couldn't give him man of the match so a special shout out to Andy Robertson - did not look like his first European game!

This team never fails to amaze.

MOTM performances being talked about for Milner (past it), Lovren (a disaster waiting to happen) and Mane (out of form), while Karius (sh*te) keeps a clean sheet and makes no errors against a team that hasn't been beaten at home in 24 games.

Never believe the doubters.  These reds don't!
You can't keep these reds down for long, boys, any of them!

What a brilliant game! Gives us space for the second leg and some rest time possibly for our players against the scum.

Entirely agree. Been a very long time since I loved any full back on either side of the pitch for Liverpool, but Robertson is my favourite since Finnan.

Must also admit, the ref did a great job today, letting the plays flow and not giving away needless cards. Such a refreshing from those FA refs.

Funny old team this one. From the high of City to the lows of Swansea and West Brom and back on a high again.

West Ham next and any result is possible, but a similar performance to the Southampton/Huddersfield games will do me nicely.

We look solid all of a sudden, but with this team who knows whats around the corner.

Touch wood, the bedding in of Van Dijk and Karius as well as Robertson making the  LB shirt his own, and we seem to have cracked it.
