Absolutely the single worst thing that’s ever happened to football , imho , totally stripping the emotion out of the game , ball over the line technology was brilliant , was brought in to be clear and obvious and it’s the exact opposite ,would scrap it soon as done Fck all for the game.
If it's a choice between emotion and justice, justice will get my vote every time. We all complain about wrong decisions, but I never complain about the right one.
If it was not used last weekend, we would have had a penalty to face rather than a free kick. I don't see how any Liverpool fan can honestly tell me that he'd rather the penalty. And the mancs would have won again. That's just two games in one week of matches alone. If it wasn't used any week, chaos would result, as unfortunately it still does in the lower divisions.
Kevin Friend was at one of them the last couple of days, and he gave a penalty for a clear dive, which was duly scored. Those days may not be behind him yet, but thankfully they are long behind us.
