A blast from the past in that dump. Total disgrace not to have it.

It could be our turn on Sunday.

      Oh no!!!!!

Or how about enjoying a game of footy the way it was meant without all the technological bullshit.

Nothing to do with technology, either that linesman was bent or incompetent one of the two , because if that’s the standard we’re at the game is finished

      What linesman you on about?

Games been finished since they brought in VAR.

I'm just saying that I enjoy the early rounds of cup games without the VAR billshit involved

You do enjoy it until you see United get a fkn dodgy no offisde call that could have maybe, seen them, be knocked out.

To be honest I saw the header and immediately switched stations as I knew without VAR that wasn't getting ruled offside. It's only when I actually saw the stills just before I know what Tezmac is referring too now.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the Scummy F**k pigs mate, their on their annual FA cup dance - a - thon, cos lets face it, it’s the only competition that they have a chance in, it’s as if you can set yer calander watch to see who makes it thru to the last 8, this is the height of mediocrity, it doesn’t get any better for this mid table cup team,

This is exactly how they were before Ferguson plugged in his hairdryer, now all that hot air has disappeared like a fart in the wind, the Scumsters are back in their domain of mid table security, we on the other hand can afford to field post pubescent embryo’s on a day trip to the sea side,  akin to a school outing that goes Tits up !!

Daft how long it took them to give palace that goal. Almost like they didnt want to. I hate VAR. We are out the cup now but I enjoyed a weekend without it dominating the headlines.

As we saw again last wednesday, not fit for purpose and a complete killjoy to the people watching.

I believe we have semi-automated offside about to be trailed here...if it works then that and goal line tech should be it...the rest of the subjective side of VAR should be cast into the dust bin.

Id be happy with that. Offside and goal line and the rest done away with. Bring some of the enjoyment and spontaneity back into the game.

That Mo goal that was disallowed for offside.

VAR doidn't even show a replay ....expecting the game to be halted, next thing you know, they are attacking us down Trents side.

How are they struggling with VAR. If they really wanted to improve the game, the ref could have a little screen in his pocket where he can pull out and view the VAR directly

      Quote from Longy-Shops
If there's any justification for VAR It's with offside...because its' measurable and doesn't rely on subjectivity.

VAR is essential at senior level, and was shown again during that round. If it was available, that manc goal would not have stood, and justice would have been done on the spot. The very first FA Cup game they had at home without VAR during this decade, and wouldn't you know it, they score an offside goal that decides the game in the last minute. :f_steam:

At least 3, possibly 4 clubs were dumped out of the cup, due to no VAR/GLT available. That's 25% of all the teams knocked out of that round alone.

No part of the trophy states how enjoyable or not the matches were. It just says who won in what year. It was inevitable that someone would pay the consequences for that stupid decision to abandon VAR in the early rounds for the first time since 2020, and sure enough someone did. It's never enjoyable to go out of a competition because of a wrong decision, it's an absolute disgrace it was allowed to happen, and it renders the entire event a waste of time and money.
