Another game decided by a wrong VAR decision. At least it was those bitter cu*ts but point still stands.

Young goes down theatrically, sure, but there was a shirt pull, but guess which angle they decided not to show the ref? The one with the shirt pull, once they did, it had already been too long and the ref just wanted to make a decision and get the game back underway and saw the proper angle for just over a second, after over a minute of showing repeats of pointless angles that didn't show what happened. Even the commentators saying 'why are they not showing the real angle?'

      Joke of a system.

No doubt c**t across the water will say otherwise in 3-5 business days once he's written his draft response in his notes.

I mentioned this in the game thread. It looked pretty apparent he was offside to me. Makeup for the Konate non call last week I guess (although we also had one of those not called in this game as well).

Wasn't real impressed with the referee. Thought there were times he let the game flow which was good, but other times he refused to call things for us that he called for them. In fact, If I remember correctly, he didn't call a single foul on them in the first half. What a disciplined team they must be to have not fouled at all in an entire half.

We have semi automated offside. So if it says no offside, then it's not offside. It can't be wrong.

I find it embarrassing that they come out with the lessons learned sh*te if you didn't see that as a red card on the pitch or at Stockley you should not be anywhere near a Football pitch.

It's been over 5 years now, if anything it's got gradually worse.

There is nothing to learn here, referees have agendas....of course they do, how does anyone explain how someone can officiate a football match without prejudice? It's not humanly possible, just because they have a license badge means I'm supposed to believe that somehow vindicates that from that?

No accountability essentially means you're a free man, free to F**k over any team as many times as you please. Of course the cut off point is making a public video about how you hate a club and think their manager is a c**t.....yeah, maybe don't want to get caught doing that.

      Yep an absolute failure.

Scrap it and actually get back to the proper game we grew up with instead of this bastardised joke.

Those tackles were tolerated as part and parcel of
the derby when you were growing up. That's what you want, is it? Remember when Beglin broke his leg from one of those tackles in 87. It finished his career here. The opponent wasn't sent off for that either, not even yellow carded iirc.

I want red cards and three match bans handed out for them, not decisions appealed, red cards rescinded and bans overturned when they are given, as I have seen on multiple occasions this season.

Refereeing may not be perfect with VAR. But it's bloody awful without it.

The clubs could have scrapped this absolute nonsense at the start of the season. Its just ruining the game and the spectacle of it.

Goaline technology is fine. Semi automated offside if it works and is quick is fine. Bin off var and leave everything else to the referee.

If the referee blows and gives a big decision, such as a red for a bad tackle, penalty etc and wants a 2nd look ive no issue with him quickly looking at a pitchside monitor to be sure. But again it has to be his choice to do so, nobody telling him, and the decision will still be his.

Ive had enough of var and i didnt want it bringing in to begin with. A complete failure.

One thing that would help would be if the referees acted like big boys and stopped worried about making mistakes and protecting their mates.

Or would it be that hard to recruit a team of VAR only officials who worked independently to the refs and aret their to assist on making decisions they didn't see, got wrong etc?

And I'll say it to I'm blue in the face, simply the F***ing rules of the game!!

Like most decisions I expect they'll even out 50/50. Apart from tech assisted, VAR needs ditching.
