FIFA say VAR has a 98.9% rate for getting the right decision, so it works, and therefore the other major leagues are prepared to go with it for next season.

The EPL have decided that they want a safe haven for cheats, divers, and refereeing errors to thrive, when they finally got the chance to get rid of them.

VAR won't be going away anytime. It will be back on the agenda every year until it's finally adopted.

Let's hope every year we tell the agenda to F**k off

Come back and tell us that, after we get shafted by crap refs at the toilet again next year, and see how far it gets you. Or City. Or Spurs fans pretending to be lino's. Or offsides given as goals at Watford, or somewhere else. Because it will happen again, and when it does, we'll be wondering why we couldn't do something about it when we had the chance. :-[

That incompetence was supposed to be cut out of the league next year. Because of the backward step taken, refereeing will still be stuck in the stone age next season, while Ligue 1, La Liga, and Bundesliga refs have all the resources necessary to get things right, come August.

So we will only have it available in the cups, until those with the power to change things, get a grip and bring refereeing into the 21st Century.

That's where you're wrong. Mistakes are a part of what I love about the game. I like the fallibility of referees, players and managers. We don't need to change to VAR, we need to alter the mindset of the absolute idiots that think refs are regularly biased and have to get everything right.

That bitter c**t Wenger after they lost today saying VAR is necessary because all big games this season have been decided by refereeing mistakes ‘including man city vs Liverpool’.

I F***ing hate that bitter, old, irrelevant gobs***e! He will still be blaming everyone else when he relegates the cu*ts.

As Magillionaire says, you shouldn't celebrate incompetence. I can't think of another profession or walk of life where incompetence is accepted and excused. Where it exists, you want it to be better, to eliminate mistakes, cheating, and/or wrongdoing.

We will suffer because of the vote, there's no getting away from that, numerous times. It could be a cup final, a league decider, a playoff, an away goal, anything. But it will happen and it shouldn't. Referees in the league today make major decisions that they hope are right. And they're only told that they're not when there's nothing they can do about it, allowing injustices to fester. They all want VAR and clubs have been calling for it every time they've been cheated down the years. Last week they finally got their chance to do something about it, because every player should walk off that pitch knowing that the correct decision has been made and justice has been done, however long it takes.

Bring on the World Cup so, and let's see how it should be done.

13 specialised VAR officials just chosen to give the final yay or nay, to major incidents at the World Cup.

Number of English referees: 0 There's a reason for that.

      Quote from Roddenberry

Ramos v Salah. Did you like that?

If that happens in the World Cup, the player responsible will be dismissed, even in the unlikely event that the ref doesn't cop it at the time. Straight red cards can be issued for serious foul play, even after play has resumed.

There will also be less offside decisions given on the pitch. Unless the offside is clear as day, lino's have been advised to keep their flags down, and let VAR determine whether tight calls that lead to significant incidents, are offside or not. Which is fair enough.

Fans will see VAR reviews in stadiums, and broadcasters will be told why a decision is being reviewed. It's obviously easier for English speakers, as all ref communication will be in English. As is standard procedure at VAR games, all major decisions made on the pitch are provisional until VAR confirms it. Goals will be awarded and ruled out, penalties will be awarded and overturned, and fair play will be the biggest winner at the World Cup.

Harsh at best, Griezzman went down like he'd been shot.

VAR is diluting the passion of the game as well, look at the muted celebrations. Embrace it all you want, but it's still a load of sh*te in my opinion.

Think the defenders slide challenge just missed the ball, trailing leg caught the back of Griezmann, as I said it just felt a harsh pen to give.

The trailing foot catches the forward on the heel. That is all that's needed to justify the decision. It would be a free kick anywhere else on the pitch.
