Which doesn't answer my question - WHAT IS THE F***ing POINT.

It's just another ref making the same mistake, I'd rather just be mad about a human mistake rather than a human mistake made with the benefit of replay.

As the league heads towards it's conclusion, there have been at least another 10 major errors in April, affecting teams in all areas of the table. Some of them could decide where the title is heading, who finishes in the top four, and the difference between 17th and 18th.

The good news is there are just 20 league games left to play where human error by referees is tolerated. The bad news is, it's no consolation if the next mistake ultimately determines who finishes in all the above places. At this stage of the season, mistakes by players or officials matter most.

Haha the made up decisions that if were not hypothetically given (no matter how blatant) would then be justified with something like ‘it was all checked by VAR’.

When there's multiple millions of cash resting on a correct decision, it makes sense to have a second opinion to double check major decisions. In football or any other walk of life for that matter. Major human mistakes are neither accepted nor tolerated, and result in serious consequences for those involved.

The system has already helped to send PSG, Porto, City, and the mancs, packing from this year's European Cup. As regards ourselves, Mane couldn't score in Porto without it, because the human on the field made yet another mistake. So whatever you think of it, the system works.

As we have seen all season, we need it in our league, we needed it many years ago, and imho it can't come soon enough. In just 5 years time, it will be standard across the board, and we'll be wondering why it was so doggedly delayed and resisted for so long.

4 errors on the final day brings the minimum total to 110 errors over the season up and down the league, that VAR's could have put right on the spot.

VAR is here from now on to put things right and see justice done, when it's supposed to be done. Judging by the amount of times they have had to step in and bail officials out in other leagues, it will be a regular feature in the EPL. VAR is not designed to re-referee a game, it's a safety net for referees to ensure the big decisions are correct, so that no team gets what they shouldn't, and no team is hard done by. The questions and the answers over VAR will rage on and on into the future, but this particular quiz is over and this logbook of EPL errors is now closed.

Exactly, could have, there is nothing to say it would have.

VAR is not designed to re-referee a game, it's a safety net for referees to ensure the big decisions are correct, so that no team gets what they shouldn't, and no team is hard done by.

No, it’s been designed because the officials are F***ing incompetent and getting worse season by season and this is their way out. Trouble is, you still have the same shithouse, incompetent officials reviewing the VAR. It will still be the opinions of the likes of Paul Tierney...

but this particular quiz is over and this logbook of EPL errors is now closed.

This was a quiz? I thought for a quiz other people had to take part and the person running it actually had to know the answers. As it goes, this has been a 16 page topic largely based on your hypothetical opinion of the situations.

It's not exactly Mastermind. It's no more a quiz than VAR is only for clear and obvious errors. As there is a ? after each incident, I went with "quiz" at the start, then had to stick to it.

All incidents recorded were not hypothetical, they all happened, and would all be liable to be reviewed by a VAR. Most had clear and obvious solutions, some were subjective, and a handful of decisions would be allowed to stand, as is the case with VAR atm.

Some of the subjective answers are hypothetical, because they have to be. We can't make them factual, as the clubs refused to use the resources available. Even professional refs can't agree on certain decisions. It doesn't mean the wrong decision was made, it does mean it can go either way, but a decision still has to be made.

Regardless whether Tierney specifically is making decisions or not, as he will sometimes, VAR has a 99.3% accuracy rate. It's as close to waterproof as we can get. Therefore the amount of ref errors in the league will be drastically reduced from now on. Even Tierney will get them right.

Many other sports have used technology for 2 to 3 decades, longer in some cases. It's now 2019. It's about time we caught up with what other leagues, let alone other sports, have available as routine.

Firstly I know 'it's the rules' but it's a stupid rule having watched this Scotland game.

VAR is going to kill penalties to the point where you might as well just give a penalty goal.
