More incompetent linesmen work. This is a HUGE issue. They will ruin a game if given the chance. No business making decisions. VAR please

Been saying for a while that linesmen are the most useless part of the sport. All they do is guess. They said as much in the programme that Carra & Neville did with Sky.

I am so against diving, even when putits come out with crap like ’there was contact’
If Deli Diving Ali gets pens for blatant cheating, and we don’t get a free kick for a foul as clear as you’ll ever see.
Can only be fa and officials clearly anti Liverpool.
Other than that, great win and another 3 points.
      Woooohoooo !!!

We'll they are fu**ed when video ref comes in full time.

Can't wait myself, we'll still get some sh*t decisions against but it will cut out a lot of the sh*te mistakes from linesmen and refs.

Whatever about it being a peno or not, it's a blatant foul.
Lineman is looking STRAIGHT at it.
But could the ref not see it either?!
      Their balls haven't dropped yet...

A routine win despite the fact we were not at our best today which is great to see.
The addition of VVD and you can see the way he brings so much calm to the team, how long has it been since we managed these sort of scores to 90mins with having a few heart attacks along the way!

With two assists Ox was my MOTM getting better all the time.

Constantly playing on the line and looking for the break. Super player to have up there.

Karius made a couple of saves, one of them was world class. His distribution was great and he came out to collect the ball numerous times. He is not a keeper stuck on his line.

      Did/doing really well.
Made that save before HT. Confident with ball at his feet - seems to make the right decisions on whether to play it short or play it long. Picked the ball out of the air well a few times.
Mignolet starting to become just a ropey memory...

Too open to interpretation isn't it. Should just have a straight up rule that if it hits your hand or arm it's a pen

Then you'd get players playing the ball against other players arms to try and win pens ... I don't think there's a simple solution

I think some of the credit for that is the confidence VVD has brought to the defence aswell mate,I no longer sh*t myself when the ball goes into the box
& it looks like neither does our defence

I agree on that, I think it it should be if the hand moves towards the ball.. it is something VAR can handle.

No way Mignolet would be doing the same with VVD, you would have VVD sh*tting himself. A better goalie gives the defence confidence.

It was outside the area but yeah - the ref bottled it because he would have had to send him off IMO.

He didn't call for a free kick, so if it doesn't go in the match report what happens?

But even then - it’s hardly a high pressure decision. Last minute, in favour of the home team, who are already two up. If he hasn’t got the bottle to make that call then he shouldn’t be a ref because there are far more pressured decisions than that one.

Also, another mention to Karius, cane out and collected a call in that second half where he could have taken a heavy hit to his head, but he still held onto the ball. Great goalkeeping.

Salah and Firmino should be nowhere near the pitch on Tuesday: Porto will not be bringing their strongest XI over either so there's no need for us to play our top players. It's about next Saturday now and getting 3 pts at Old Trafford.

Was it oh well don’t matter who gets the assists as long as Mane scored.

Cruised it despite not needing to move out of 4th gear, couple of diamonds outshone today, thought Ox played particularly well and to be fair so did Henderson,
He had a very good game in all honesty,
We were solid at the back and never looked like conceding, Trent wasn't at his best but did ok,
Our front three were very comfortable  and again simply cruised through the game,

Easy 2-0 win, good performance and put us back into 2nd and for me our final position come May.

One striking difference for me is how much we've matured as a team. We're so much more professional, more measured, but still at times playing breath taking football. Loving every minute of it.

MOTM Chamberlain for me by the way, though Karius with a world class save and some good distribution and catches on high balls deserves a mention too.

Thought everyone played pretty well overall. Bring on Porto and the F***ing mancs.

Excellent result seeing as Rafa sets up his teams well.

Above the Scum now in 2nd place and if we can keep that position till end of season I for one will be happy with the progress made.

      Well done lads.
