Just noticed that it's the derby at Goodison sandwiched between the 1st and 2nd legs of the Quarter Final.

      Not ideal that.

I watched the game in the pub, rather dull game on the whole. Still job done now on to OT on Saturday.

Funny JD I only twigged to that last night.

      In Cornwall for both.

To be fair we can beat the bitters with a 2nd string.......and should’ve before Xmas.

Hopefully 2nd leg be academic again anyway ;)

Nobody was expecting fireworks and even Porto went thru the motions. Porto fans tried their best to lift their team to try and make it interesting but we're thru. Roma or Shakhta would do in the quarters. They play next week.
Although it may have been great for our supporters to see a strong team out there in hindsight was it really worth risking our top players and would it not have been better to play more fringe players?...

Well we have the Mancs to deal with now, so onward and upwards

Not overly sure.  That week where we beat Madrid 4-0 at home then onwards to beat United 4-1 - we had to select a strong side in the Champions League because we only had a 1-0 first leg lead.

Didn't do us any harm then.  Can see the logic in why he kept most of the team involved.  They've had plenty of time off in the last 6 weeks or so to be fair - I'd imagine hammering teams isn't as exhausting as suffering poor results.

The manager has spoken about how he has done his rotation, with the preparation being for the exact run in we have.. that they now need to play.

Why dont you just trust him to know his squad, his options and the medical reports he works off better than You?

There's a reason he's a top class manager and you're someone who howls at the moon

      Great isn’t it.

      Into the next round.
Front 3 get a run out and are injury free. Fans happy to see them all playing.

Sure who’d post about that 😂
