      Is right.

Especially seeing as our resident Manc said he can’t see them struggling against them, back when we dropped points in the group against them.

      Who me!!  ;D

      Bunch of cu*ts they are.

Was worried all week leading up to the game about Rashford.

To think he wouldn't have started if that useless c**t Pogba didn't get injured in the last minute of their last training session.

Game could have been so different if he was a sub, don't think he would have had the same impact.

It's good to have at least one manc on your site otherwise you'd all be agreeing with each other apart from the Klopp thread.  ;D

A lot of posters bemoaning our inability to break them down and create more chances but the problem surely is our inability to keep a clean sheet? Therein lies the biggest challenge for the manager. You can't score 3-4 goals every game but if we could see out a 0-0 every once in a while in games as big as Sunday we would be in great shape. I'd like to see us become a team tat can win games 1-0 from time to time, for all the positives Jürgen doesn't quite seem able to get this into the DNA of this team.

With regards to Lovren I can understand why he was picked, he has looked a better foil for VVD than Matip in recent weeks and tbf he has absolutely owned Lukaku in recent times when he was in an Everton shirt (in fact I can remember he absolutely bullied the lad in one game last season).

It's a damaging loss because it brings Chelsea right back into the mix and top 4 is by no means secured (we play them at the Bridge on the penultimate game of the season) and we've still got the derby away to come. Chelsea do have to play Spurs though so a draw or Spurs win would be favourable in that game.

That's basically correct Scotia. We turned up, fortunately you guys didn't thanks to Magical Mourhino tactics.

Like I’ve said elsewhere I’m not sure it was magical - to a degree he was limited in his options.

But, not wishing to be churlish, it was certainly effective.

Ultimately it’s a simple game and what works is the right answer.

It does come at a price! United not always exciting to watch unlike your lads who are.

Fair enough. JoMo did his homework and Rashford took his chances well. I know where we went wrong but I am waiting for Klopp to put right a serious tactical error. If he doesn't it could undermine the rest of our season. It cost us against United.

I'll say no more...I may have said to much already..

Fair comment Keith but sometimes it's
Not how you play but how you get the points which Jose did to his credit.

I hated maureen but you have to give him credit for the way he deploy his tactics to full effectiveness and we played right into his hands. In all honesty, it is our very own Klopp's problem, he was and is still trying to break down a triple deck bus with the same old mundane actics. Patience, patience, patience build up that led to nothing for 90 minutes and 2 sucker punches.

Do something different, low crosses across the goal and look for a tap in, taking shots outside the box. get a Solanke or even a Can with height to meet the crosses or harass the Utd or create havoc or should I say maureen don't deal too well with surprises.

Sevilla just showed Klopp ho it is done.

Only just out of hiding following Utd's exit last night to cheer me up!  ;D

My take is we played poorly, were out-muscled in the first half; didn't adjust tactically in defence or attack to our failings and didn't create a single worthwhile chance from open play.  Utd played their hoof it up, flick it on with 1 or 2 runners anticipating and scored twice, with their only 2 shots on target.  They controlled the game from the point of view that we didn't create.  Our front 3 should have mixed it up and switched it instead of being too static in their general positioning.  Worst performance against that lot for some time!

Let's move on and look forward to the CL draw and batter Watford Sat.
