      Pre-Match: Crystal Palace V Liverpool (31/03/18 - 12:30)
      Mar 26, 2018 10:23:43 am

International break cannot end fast enough. Hopefully everyone can return injury free with just Joe Gomez so far picking up a knock.

Everyone is obviously thinking about the Man City game but we need to make sure of top for also and 12:30 kick offs after the international break can be dangerous. Palace also fighting for their lives and have been unlucky recently not to pick up some points in games against both United and Chelsea.

We should still have too much but I think it will be tricky. 1-3 Reds  :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6:

Hoping we don't have to hear "Glad All Over" after the match, Saturday (unless the traveling support sing it, which would be pretty funny actually).

Does anyone expect Klopp to leave a couple of players out with an eye toward the City match on the following Wednesday? Wouldn't shock me.

Can and Gomez the major question marks re fitness at this point, but there are more international matches to be played.

Official site showed training pics from Melwood this morning. Looks like they had about 8 players, 3 of whom were goalkeepers.

Danger...unpredictable team. Can play out of their skin one week and a complete mess the next. Had a spot of bother from them once or twice over the years so we have to be well aware of their strengths and turn up from the kick off at least untill we have drained their energy and any notion of an upset.

      Proceed with caution.

I can't remember the last time he scored!....... but saw a stat recently how he is the worst striker in Europe this season in terms of missing big chances.
And to think we paid £30M for him, one of Rodgers more ridiculous signings.

Very tricky game with coming back from internationals, dinner time KO against a bit of a bogey team . Got to be very professional get in get out 3 points by the odd goal not arsed

      Not brimming with confidence.

Just two days to uncoach the Southgate-ness and a big eye on the Champions League.

Hold me and tell me it's going to be okay.

And yet during the season he played under Klopp, every time we weren't winning after playing a good bit of a match, every two-bit match commentator in England would start going on about needing to put Benteke in and changing the tactic to lump crosses in to him.

Keep Zaha quiet and we win this.

Assuming Gomez won’t be ready in which case Trent will need protection.

I prefer to play them away rather than at Anfield so they should come out and try to win rather than park the bus.

If so, I can see this being 0-3.

Statistically speaking we should rip these chumps a new one but I'm a bit apprehensive as well. I still think we'll win though.

last game was tight. we won 1-0, but it was an absolute onslaught on their goal with 13 shots on target. Some things that has changed in our team since we slipped up against lesser teams are Mignolet has gone to the back of the goalie line THANK GOODNESS! and so far, Karius seems to be a good option.. could be great. Phil out and VVD in is a massive bonus defensively too.. because I always maintained the belief that Coutinho left massive holes even when he was not going forward, that lad has no defensive abilities and for how much people rate him, his goal scoring ratio isn't anything to shout about.. overpriced winger.  VVD adds a lot in defence, he is a real commander and Holland realized that to name him captain. Ox coming in for Coutinho not only softens the attacking blow that goes hardly noticed because of our great forwards,  but also plugs in a defensive issue we had before. I think that is the reason why we are so much more balanced now... so I do understand that thinking we will win is far from optimism and is the most likely scenario, regardless of previous results at early or late kick offs.

I used to give criticise Klopp in the managerial thread and people usually defended Klopp and called me a WUM etc.. but actually Klopp improved a lot now, my reservations have dissipated and our results have been improving at an accelerated rate. Not only has he made the changes everyone knew were badly needed, he also is making substitutes earlier.

Taking this all into consideration, I think a Crystal Palace 0 - 2 Liverpool result would not be surprising to say the least.
With Spurs v Chelsea on Sunday, we won't get a better chance to put a good gap between 3rd and those 4th and the undesired 5th spots.

its like the first game of the season, 2 week break with 7 games to go...just to prove what we already know. Wembley is the dullest stadium in the world and our team has F**k all chance of winning anything in Mother Russia.

Christ knows what would have happened if the Aussies were bent, we would have been digging people up to interview them.

      Thankfully it is over.

Thank god the real footys back.
Don’t mind the internationals, as long as they don’t interfere with the Prem !
Not sure about Palace. Unbalanced disjointed side, blow hot and cold, but for some reason usually hot against us. We ain’t normally great after the inter breaks either.
Going for a win, but a bit closer than it might otherwise have been!
Any news on Gomez anyone ?
I suppose TAA will play rather than take chances. Has everyone else come home fit ?
Surely we gotta do these, leaning on the side of caution and gone for 3:2 to us. Can’t wait now.
