      https://twitter.com/LorisKarius/status/982556905016086528

Goodison Park waiting to be conquered by the Mighty Reds

Starting XI: Karius, Clyne, Lovren, Van Dijk, Klavan, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Ings, Solanke.

Subs: Mignolet, Firmino, Moreno, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Masterson, Alexander-Arnold, Jones.

      The 231st Merseyside derby.

Liverpool make five changes for the Merseyside derby clash with Everton at Goodison Park.

Nathaniel Clyne makes his first appearance of 2017-18 as he begins at right-back, while Ragnar Klavan lines up on the left-hand side of defence.

Georginio Wijnaldum returns in midfield, while Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke are drafted into attack to join Sadio Mane.

Mohamed Salah is left out of the matchday squad after picking up a knock in midweek, but there are places on the bench for Academy youngsters Curtis Jones and Conor Masterson. Roberto Firmino is also among the substitutes.

Got a feeling it's a 3-4-1-2 with Milly the left wing back. May be Jürgen is skeptical to field Moreno vs Walcott

Is Klopp playing with 5 at the back or is Klavan the left-back as the official reporting expressed?

Not bad, hope no injuries occur.

I can't believe that ITK was right. It's madness that the lineup was leaked out.

That twitter thing was right about the team.
Surprised not resting one of Lovren/VVD, could put Klavan at CB, and stick Moreno at LB.
      So strong back 5 picked.
      And middle.
The big changes are up front - time for Ings and Dom to show their stuff.

A real lack of pace in the team, I'd have found a place for Moreno at the expense of one ot Lovren/VVD with Klavan going in to the back.

If you're playing 3 centre backs then why not play Moreno at wing back and rest Milner.

Team selection makes no sense to me.

Decent enough line up, with Karius in goal. Mane, who has been scoring well lately, up front with Ings & Solanke.

      5-2-3 I think.

                           Mane    Sonake    Ings

                                  Gini         Hendo

                       Milner                               Clyne

                              Klaven  VVD  Lovren

                                           Karius

I'm hoping VVD can run forward into that space to offer midfield support and other CB cover.

Good he's resting people. I would have added Milner to the ones on the bench and played Moreno as a left winger in a 4-4-2 with the rest of that lineup.
Glad to see Ings and Solanke starting - interesting to see how they do, especially Ings.

Yep, that’s what makes me think it could be a SCL four with Klavan on the left.

Might play Lovren in front of VVD and Klavan.  Push Henderson on.

Gonna be a tricky game this for us but not sure there's a lot we could do.  A couple of faces on the bench at least.

Maybe Robertson’s calf injury has him as a major doubt for Tuesday so we’re holding Moreno back?

Yep, that’s what makes me think it could be a SCL four with Klavan on the left.

When we signed Raggy there was something mentioned about he could play on the left, I remember.

But he's been here 2 seasons now and hasn't played a minute at left back, so....who knows?

Glad he's back as I think he is steady. Surprised as many of you that Moreno is not in, but I wouldn't be surprised if Milner was especially eager to play in this match.

One player we really need to step up today is Gini Wijnaldum.

Is Everton's slanderer (of Bobby) injured? I don't see his name in their squad.

      Meh. Just win.

One thing is I’m glad Moreno isn’t in. His rashness in a game like this could end poorly.

there's no injury other than a slight knock. Should be okay against City.
