Solanke and Klavan didn't cut it for me.

Looks like no player got hurt so that's a huge positive, especially considering it's the bitters.
Solanke was god awful though. Devoid of any confidence and clue of what to do at the moment. Probably should go on loan next season.

We were in control, if anything unlucky not to win. Not really bothered at all by this what with bigger priorities. Just getting through it with minimum fuss was all I cared about.

Gut wrenching for Everton, with Allardyce thinking he’s a top managerial billy big bollocks yet can’t even muster anything against a weakened Liverpool side who play mid week either side of these games.

Karius, Milner and VVD played well, but Wijnaldum is my MOTM. Absolutely composed and very good on the ball, quiet down last 10-15 mins, but before that, he was like a glue for our team. Perhaps our future #6?
