Haven't been on here since the game so...
Moreno is on the beach. Hopefully he stays there. Close to worst from him I've seen, and that says a lot.
Gomez looked rusty, poor in the lead up to the free kick - I think Hendo was challenged the guy and it wasn't a free kick that led up to their 2nd. The ref was a disgrace, Jürgen was right to say he just wanted the correct decisions and a lot of times the ref was f**king sh*te.
Didn't really get was Ings was subbed, thought Bob did nothing when he came on anyway, tho AOC made a good impact. Ings just has to lift his really good chance over the keeper when the keeper goes to ground - just missing a bit of finesse from Danny.
Thought VVD did well winner headers etc.
Salah took his goal brilliantly, but some of his short passing was off, he might've got Mane in once or twice with simple balls.

Disappointing to not get the 3 points, we wiped the floor with them for 80 mins :(
Good to see Jürgen so annoyed, job in the PL is not done yet.

We saw it. 12 months ago. Came on as a late sub to see out the win, got possession in his own half with only the keeper to beat. Ran 30 yards with the ball and tried to score from the halfway line.  The ball ended up nearer the corner flag.

The collapse struck again. When one goal went in, another soon followed. Better though that the glitches are out of the system before Tuesday, as away goals count double.

The ref was awful, unless he's been on Mars for the past 3 years, he should know that they are just a bunch of kickers and hackers with a poor disciplinary record. VAR dealt with that in the cup game, but we didn't have it this time, and the difference in refereeing decisions was stark.

One thing Klopp can't argue about is the pitch. West Brom are fully entitled to do whatever they like with their own pitch, as are any other home team. That's what home advantage is about. I didn't notice it  during the game, but I remember the times when we had to play in unplayable ploughfields, waterlogged pitches and icerinks, really dangerous pitches to play in and we coped. So a dry pitch on a nice weather day should not be that big an issue.

Well done Salah on breaking the 40 goal mark, and Danny for his goal, after so many injury problems. And with that we move on, hopefully back to normal service resumed next week, when results really do matter.

I remember that moment from last season as well. He can't defend or provide a quality ball. He's just fast is all.

Understand West Brom get to do what they want at home, but disagree about the dry pitch not affecting play, or more specifically Liverpool's play. For a team that can knock the ball around and likes to play some quick, short passes in and around goal, that kind of pitch can definitely not make a difference. Not sure who you mean by "we" but these conditions definitely affect at team like ours much  more than a lump it up the park lot like West Brom.

None of this excuses the errors in the final 10 minutes, but we might have had more goals before that minus the condition of the pitch and a referee missing a blatant penalty and a blatant red.

But as you say, we move on.

Can’t believe we’ve made the same subs blunder in the last 15 mins to concede a winning situation.
To often this ! Doesn’t any of the managment team see this ?
It seems to be our Achilles heel, but still continues 😳
2 points unnecessarily dropped, and on to Tursday.

Well we were starting to get a little bit big for our boots for a team that has won nothing for a very long time. Happily it was this game where we got brought back down to earth again.

Firmino from off the bench continues to struggle to get to grips with a game by the way. Not the first time hes came on late and still half asleep. Did it in the derby too.

But yeah rather this game than the next one which promises to be a huge occasion with pretty much our strongest team out on the pitch. Nice to have that at this time of the season.
