      PFA Team of the year
      Apr 18, 2018 11:39:18 am
      David De Gea
      Kyle Walker
      Jan Vertonghen
      Nicolás Otamendi
      Marcos Alonso
      David Silva
      Kevin De Bruyne
      Christian Eriksen
      Harry Kane
      Mohamed Salah
      Sergio Agüero

Only Salah gets in, can’t believe Bobby has not got in.
Aguero finally gets nominated in a season where he has not been at his best.

No idea how Ottamendi gets a look in probably the same for Alonso but the only credible alternative would be Robertson and he only really started playing after Christmas.

Should be Bobby in there ahead of Aguero.

Firmino really should be in there ahead of Aguero.
Like you said, Aguero ahead on what he'd done before rather than this season.
Maybe Big Virgil instead of Otamendi if he'd been at the club all season.

As much as would like VVD there, he missed the start of the season and in truth, was poor for Saints. Been class for us but the season isn’t based on a few months.

Ben Davies instead of Alonso, probably Tarkowski instead of Vertonghen and Bobby instead of Aguero.

Really surprised at the Otamendi inclusion as well. When you see how poor Otamendi was across the two ties we've had with them recently (and our January fixture) it's noticeable just how average a player he is. It's easy to conclude after the last couple of weeks as to why he and they as a whole team haven't been exposed more this season but that overlooks the exclusivity of our own play. The way some pundits were talking after out victories it was as if any team could turn up and do that to Man City forgetting the fact that Klopp has been mending and fine tuning this style of play for the last two and a half years.

Relative to their expectations I think the likes of Tarkowski and Lascelles deserve to be up there.

Two things I can't understand: how only one LFC player made the list (at least Bobby should be in here with Salah IMO) and how Otamendi made it.

      Answer to both is PFA.

I honestly do not care about personal rewards or winnings. The less our players are on that list, the better so for them to continue to push forward.

The vote for this is in January which is maybe the dumbest idea you could possibly have for this.

As with all lists its opinion and they can vary wildly, definitely wouldn't have Alonso or Otamendi, both been bang average this season, and what's the point of a January vote, ludicrous.
