Klopp congratulates Salah on 'unbelievable honour'

Jürgen Klopp has congratulated Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool forward won the PFA Players' Player of the Year award.

Salah collected the trophy at a ceremony in London on Sunday after coming out on top in the poll of his peers from the 92 Premier League and Football League clubs.

The Reds' prolific No.11, who took his goal tally for the season to 41 in just 46 appearances on Saturday, saw off the challenges of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Leroy Sane, David de Gea and Harry Kane to become the seventh Liverpool player to land the prize.

And Klopp has commended Salah’s achievement, with the manager telling Liverpoolfc.com: “It is really rare in football that you win as an individual, an individual trophy, because it is a team game.

“But in this, the team lives from personalities, from characters, from players and I am really happy that I had the opportunity to be your manager in the last year.

“I think this award, you are voted for from all the other players in all the leagues in England, is an unbelievable honour so you can be really proud and your family can be really proud.

“On behalf of the LFC family, again, congratulations. It was a fantastic ride so far, but you know we have still a few yards to go. With the best wishes for your future here at LFC, [from] your manager.

“And now, please grab the trophy and come home - we play on Tuesday! See you then.”

On a slightly different topic about the pfa awards had the misfortune to see some of the reaction of people to a picture of young ryan sessegnon and his girlfriend,  utterly disgraceful and frankly scandalous comments which made my blood boil, most of which were made by men who have probably never been within 20 miles of a a woman other than their mum

No doubt for me as to Mo being the winner, just haven't paid much attention to this before and wonder about the schedule/sequence of things. I guess maybe the players head off on holiday after the final match, but of course Mo is going to be around through May preparing for the Champions League final.

Didn't he get rid of De Bruyne too he really doesn't like to have to spend time developing talent does he unlike Jürgen who seems to  thrive on making good players great. Just thinking about the Ox in particular he was almost invisible at Arsenal and now he is improving game after game.

Yeah you have to feel for Hendo, having to be there surrounded by the glitz and glamour, entertainment, free food and drink and all. He really took one for the team 

Well in Mohamed Salah, the first of many accolades for himself and our Club, truly deserved and he has worked so hard for this.

It's been niggling me all Season that most pundits, writers and critics have been saying that De Bruyne would edge it because City had won the League, what F***ing nonsense! De Bruyne is a world class player but he has had nowhere near the impact on the City side that Salah has had on our side.

On current form Salah is currently the best player in the World, better than both Ronaldo and Messi. I have every confidence in him collecting all awards and the Champions League to boot. At this current moment in time he is unplayable and unstoppable.

This boy is frightening.

Keep it going Mo.

We have a world class player to look after and if i had anything to do with it I'd have him extend his contract with immediate effect alongwith a massive wage increase, put a £250m price on his wee bearded head too just to deter those who think they can turn his head !!

This is just the start of a new golden era for LFC, to work with the best manager on the planet win trophies & silverware aplenty....now tell me..who wouldn't want to be part of that ?
