Shout out to Wijnaldum. Came on and played a f**king stormer!!

Yep - credit where it's due.  A very up and mostly down season but no arguments tonight.  Can't have been easy coming on so early and did a great job.

Well played reds. We have too much for them, even at their place.

My prediction by the way is 2-2 for the away leg.

If the rumour is true if one of ours being stabbed to death then I'm expecting UEFA make Roma play behind closed doors..

We didn't underestimate City for the second leg and we had then a three goal lead.

JĂźrgen said before that second game ...... we start again at 0-0.

That's the only way to play it.

Look ( God speak ) I would rather be 5-2 up than 5-2 down.

Just one away goal needed to settle the nerves ....

Roma is a massive atmostphere to play against, it disables teams as much as Anfield does. Salah should have played to the 90. I really think Salah should be rested against Stoke now because he needs 90 in the second leg, a measure not needed if Klopp left Salah on and took 5-0. He's really ****** things up. Klopp is a good manager but he shown this last week he has some room to improve.

Well rib, according to red willy, your a f**king moron just like me, because you see the reality that taking mo off was the cause of our Demise, again.
Well it seems that red willy, instead of abusing other posters, needs to take a reality check.
Theres a huge difference eteern 5-0 and 5-2. And I for one pray we can progress, but to suggest the subs never had a negative impact on the result, well red, think there’s only one f**king moron posting tonight. You, you f**king half wit !

If we had been 2-0 down at half time and won 5-2 people would be dancing in the streets right now.  It's just a freak psychological state of human beings.

Good point.  On the other hand, if it had stayed 2-0 as it was at half time we would have been delighted at the scoreline.  5-2 is better than 2-0.

The disappointment of conceding 2 late goals has wore off for me now, no way are Roma going to beat us by 3 goals.

They didn't deserve to be 4-1 down to Barcelona in that first leg but they can count themselves lucky to only be 5-2 down to us.

5-2 is extremely kind on Rome unlike the 4-1 at the Nou Camp which was extremely unkind.

Just wrap Salah in that flexi foamy stuff they put in big postal packages for the next 8 days and we should be fine.

I agree entirely, but there is just that niggling doubt from the way they came back vs Barca that concerns me. Quality wise, we certainly have what it takes.

I love Liverpool but I wouldn't be travelling to Rome if you paid me.  Stories from 1984 are horrific enough and were never really dealt with at the time.  A sign of the football authorities shitty attitudes in the 80's across Europe.

Conceding 2 late goals doesn’t change the fact that we destroyed them.

Absolutely. Let's just take confidence in just how devastating Salah, Bobby and Mane were up against their high line. There's no way they're not going to play like that next week so we'll have chances.

Absolutely there was no way Barca were 4-1 better than Roma and I imagine their Manager is a little stubborn so will carry on playing the high line like he did with Barca.

So your saying if Salah had stayed on the pitch they wouldn’t have scored? Lovren missed a header through a lack of concentration...again. It’s happened a number of times and led to a goal this season with Salah on the pitch.
If Salah had gotten injured then I bet the ones calling that he should have played a full 90 would be completely laying into to Klopp for leaving him on when we are 5-0 up and cruising.

This is a situation some people will never be happy with. There is no point looking at “what if” and “what could have been”. Instead should be looking at why it happened and making sure it doesn’t again, and that is something out of Salah’s control because it was a defensive issue, again.

      3-1 to us in Rome.

If we can’t close this out against them up 5-2 then we shouldn’t be in the final anyway.

Let's be honest - their coach and players were shouting at each other so you could see just how much they were hating playing that high up. If/when they play the same tactic next week are we seriously suggesting that they will do so having expunged all doubts about handling our front three?

If we had lost tonight 1 or 2 nil we would be discussing how it's not impossible for us to win in Rome..

5-2 in our favour... We control the tie.

Suck up the early pressure in Rome, slowly probe our way to picking that perfect pass and watch Mane, Firmino and Salah perform their magic.

Its going to be an amazing away tie

Yeah, know where you’re coming from Red. Just a huge disappointment from going 5:0 to 5:2
It’s so annoying going from attack mode to defend mode when it’s clear what worries the opposition. And it clearly ain’t our defending.
Trying to remain as positive as I can, but more of the same next week and we could be scuppered. I’ve no doubt, if we keep attacking, they won’t live with us,again. But if we try and sit back and defend, we can be over run.
