Everybody just come home safe if your out there.
According to the police over there, depends if our fans and our fans only respect the rules.

Ahh thank goodness those Roma Fans Italian Police are giving assurances. Nice of the Italian Police to make it clear as long as Liverpool fans respect the rules. I guess Roma fans must be saints.  :f_doh:

Can you imagine FA saying in a match Eng v Ger, no trouble as long as Germany respect the rules? It is pretty much what this Italian said with Liverpool v Roma.

Their stance is clear, if something happens blame travelling fans. I think UEFA need to be made aware.

Ahh UEFA - I wouldn't waste my time on those imbeciles !!! Any trouble tomorrow, it'll our fault - you know it !!!!

Oh dear I hope the Italian Police have let our fans know what the rules are as I expect them to be "look at a Policeman and get arrested".

Probably deliberately vague. I think if we get knocked out we will not be looking for trouble. But if Rome get knocked out esp if it goes down to the wire, it could be difficult for LFC fans to avoid being attacked on some level.

But any Police officer should put public safety first without putting up conditions.

Has anybody else been listening to the amount of advice on offer in recent days and contemplated the same as me - jeez it's like we're travelling to a war-torn country.

I don't think I've ever heard so much information about attending an away game in the club's entire history.

While I agree it is probably needed it only proves to me what serious issues they have over in that country.

I'm in Italy this summer for a family wedding and was thinking I'd take the lad to Rome for a couple of days at the end because I'd never been but after all this I think I'll just head back home with the missus.  Sounds like a f**king nightmare place - don't go near this bridge, don't go near that.  Sounds like it's more than a minority of their fans if I'm being honest.

Exactly mate, rather go to F***ing Columbia!

All this sh*t going on yet:

      The Italian Government do sh*t

      The Italian FA do nothing

And UEFA turn a F***ing blind eye to it.

Roma should be banned from European Competition!!!

Typical UEFA, they always react and never make enough effort to prevent problems. If it wasn't for the Club seeking meetings with Roma officials and Merseyside Police offering help I doubt UEFA would've intervened.

And with the Roma police chief only giving LFC supporters qualified guarantees of safety, when he should've issued stern warnings to any Roma fans thinking of causing further mayhem. Weak leadership from UEFA and the Roma police.

Like that one mate. Did you know that the Italian army are the only army that has reversing lights on their tanks.
