Very worrying when the brains behind the whole operation goes days before the biggest game for a long time..

It's on his twitter page Zeljko's that is.

Zeljko's not on twitter mate.  That's a blag account.

Think most people are guessing on this, certainly stay clear of the ITK bullshitters on twitter.

He's either had a row and LFC have said have the rest of the season off see how you feel, or genuinely got personal issues.

Either way, last thing Klopp is going to be wanting to answer before the Roma game is questions about this.

We really are Liverpool shoot-ourselves-in-the-football Club.

Stevie G? Nah, too amateur for that type of thing.

      Very very odd timing that.

Paul Joyce saying in The Times that he had become increasingly distant and withdrawn in recent months. Would seem unfair to speculate I suppose. Either way it's a bummer.

Heard the news before on Sky, taking a break sounds like more personal or family reasons rather than arguments with Klopp behind the scenes etc.

Who knows what it could be, probably not good to speculate at this point as it would seem to be serious for someone to leave before being involved in the most important stretch of the entire season. Anyway, it will be ok, Klopp is the true brains regardless for what even he says.

Jürgen's called him his "brains", so that ain't good. Don't think it will affect us for Roma though, or the rest of the season in general.

Could miss him long term though, as deeper tactical adjustments get made. Not many tactical brainiacs out there. Give him a hug Jürgen!

It's really very bad timing. If there is a crack, it is really huge. I hope it's a personal thing.

We'll see on Wednesday how it will affect the players and the team.

Hope we go through. Come on reds.

Graeme Kelly on Twitter (usually quite reliable) saying there's absolutely no chance he comes back. Not surprising as there's no way he'd walk out at this stage of the season unless things had got really toxic.

He’s one of the biggest blaggers going mate, full of sh*t that guy, just guesses or repeats what other sources are saying. Said we were signing VVD in the summer... didn’t happen, said we were signing Goretzka...hasn’t happened. Just 2 examples.

In terms of Buvac though. This couldn’t be worse timing and given they’ve been a team for so long, it has to be one hell of a bust up. Ljinders gone and now potentially Buvac, our back room team is dwindling gradually.

      F**k sake.

Echoes of Rafa/Pako, and that didn't turn out well for anyone.

      F***ing terrible timing...

So basically as he's become more distant the team has improved, interesting very interesting, perhaps he just wasn't the brains any more then.
In any case it is F***ing terrible timing.

Could be a personal issue in his own life (e.g. family) and nothing at all to do with a breakdown in relationship with Klopp..

My thinking to be honest, especially as the club have issued a statement saying it's a private matter.

No that doesn't make sense, in that case you just take some time off. Something big must have happened, I reckon he's just been getting gradually sidelined and Klopp has listened to other people, perhaps people who knew a bit more about defending etc, and Buvac has got pissed off and thrown his toys out of the pram.
Either way it is terrible timing and very unprofessional by Buvac, UNLESS it's Klopp who insisted he pack his things in which case Jürgen had better have a damned good reason for requesting this a couple of days before our biggest game of our season.

Oh dear, at this stage of the season a huge blow.

If it really is over an argument then i would have hoped the club came first over personal issues between them from both sides.

If its something serious and private then fair is fair but this is no time to be pissing about if that is not the case. The club should come before their squabbling.

He's a bit of a pr**k that Kelly guy. Seems to be running off one successful 'scoop' (that Rodgers was leaving after the derby in 2015) and has been an utter failure since then - even claiming just hours after Rodgers left that Ancelotti was set for the top job even though Klopp was more or less signed by that point.
