Strange game, comfortable scoreline throughout but we kept giving them chances, and then a scare at the end. Anyway we won, we are in the final, and we were way better than them over the 2 legs.

Between Sadio and Robbo for MOTM for me. Gave it to Sadio just cos of how important he is to us. Our CMs are all solid all rounders, but with Coutinho gone and Lallana out they lack a bit of creativity. Mane solves that when he drops deep, turns away from his marker, then plays in our other 2. He did that really well today. Bit strange that Jürgen took him off when he was easily the best of our front 3 today ( same as Salah was last game), but, like the last game, it shouldn't have mattered, and thankfully didn't in the end.

Main puzzle for the final is TAA. Had one of those games today where he reminds you how young he is. Got to be tempting to put Clyne in for the final. But he has hardly played, so that's a risk too. Plus Trent has been really good in a lot of games as well, including the first leg. Karius was shaky today as well but will, and should, keep his place.

Anyway, we are in the final of the European Cup. Again. We can defend better than that. If we do, we can make it number 6.

Salah and Firmino both quiet tonight. Karius was excellent in coming out for the crosses but poor in other areas. No better than Mignolet tonight. Arnold had a poor game too.

Roma owned us 2nd half, didn't they? I was quite worried! But overall, we deserved to go through!

Mane, Firmino, Milner, Wijnaldum and VVD were all very good, rest were pretty average/poor.
