I think Real are favourites and probably rightly so. They've had luck yes but they've beaten the champions of France, Italy and Germany just to get to the final - can't all be down to luck. They've also got the experience of many recent finals, whilst we don't know how some of our players will react to the biggest game of their lives.

      Still think we'll win though.

Yep got to respect their achievements over the years. They dont win these cups and make all these big finals by fluke. They have players who have nothing left to prove to anybody.

We're the challengers to their defence and I hope we give them a type of game they will be having nightmares about for years to come.

Who says we wouldn't have beat those teams as well?

Amazing what a CL final can do.

Dare it be said the biggest shop window that there is at club level?

Not really what hes saying is it? He's saying Madrid have a bit about them as well. They are here on merit as we are. A very dangerous team who could blow us away in half an hour. The beauty of this game is we can do the same to them as well.

I don't like the implication that they are some special team just because they are "Real Madrid".

Yea, they got past some big teams, but they have also been helped along the way by some questionable refereeing and blunders by  those same "great" teams.

We should have nothing to fear from them, in fact, if we lose this, it's an upset in my mind.

They're going for 3 champions league titles in a row. Of course this is a special team. If they manage it one of the best you will ever see.

A team that boasts Bale, Ronaldo, Isco,  Modric, Kroos, Ramos, Casemiro, Marcelo. A bench that will probably seat Benzema, Assensio, Vazquez, Kovatic.

We have one bite at the apple with our starting lineup, Madrid have quality to bring on to punish a tiring side like ours while we send on Ings and Solanke.

This will be a huge test and we have achieved nothing yet to say we will have been 'upset' should we lose to them.

They've won the European Cup with 12 wins, that has to be respected.

It’s not about them being Real Madrid. It’s about how they have proven the last couple of years they know how to get across the line, back to back CL titles and in the final again.

They had a bit of luck along the way but I’m a big believer you make your own luck by not giving in and putting yourself in positions to benefit. They won’t throw in the towel and will believe to the last whistle, which makes them dangerous.

However - I don’t think they are as good this year as previous years and think they could underestimate us and what we can do. All depends on how we settle, can’t have us drop our heads like we did against Sevilla a few years ago if things aren’t going our way.

I don't think Madrid have played many teams like us with the exception of Barca. We all know how explosive we can be, especially in the first 20 to 30 mins of a game. Other teams have played us and didn't know how to deal with our pace a forward passing play up to our front men. I'm going 4-2 to us on the night with the first 3 goals coming in the first 30 minutes.

Well they did play Spurs twice, the team which is probably the closest to us in terms of style, remind me how that went for them.

Bottom line they are a very very good team but their star is waning whilst ours is very much in the ascendency, I think it will be a great final with plenty of goals and IF, and its a very big if, we can play to our maximum then I think we will win.

      Expecting a 4-3-3 of:

      Karius
      TAA Lovren VVD Robertson
      Milner Henderson Lallana
      Salah Firmino Mane

Largely forward passing players. Gigi to come in for the last 15 mins.

      3-1 win

      Gini will definitely start fella.

Gini needs to start as it'd be suicidal to expect Lallana to put in a big part of 90 minutes. Instead, if needed, i'd prefer him to come in for the last 15 minutes or so if we are tiring out where his energy and pressing would be welcome.

Can being available for a few minutes would be good too, as he's the most physical midfielder we have along with Ox.

Better to go in as the under dog, less pressure on the team I guess, we were favourites for the Sevilla final and look how that turned out.

Unless Can breaks down again, would expect him to be on the bench, even as "the 7th sub" just because he's been a fixture in the side. Subs should be Migs, Clyne (he's fit, yes?), Klavan, Moreno, Can, Lallana and either Ings or Solanke.

Don't think Can will feature at all, he's not fit for a start and even if he was close he wouldn't be risked, he'd be a liability having not played for weeks,

We're down to the bare bones so our starting X1 is predictable....

                                  Karius
             Trent  Lovren Van Dijk Robertson
                               Henderson
                        Milner           Wijnaldom
                Salah        Firmino      Mane

Bench ;  Migs, Klavan Clyney Moreno
                     Lallana Solanke Ings
