I can only endorse what everyone else has said. Rivalry aside, this is a human being going through a terrible trauma, his family must be distraught. I can only reiterate what we all hope, that he comes through this successfully.

Rivalry is important in football but it's that's, football rivalry.

He was a  big support after Hillsborough, one of the first to offer support to Kenny.
He was there earlier this season when Kenny's stand was opened.

Put Utd and Liverpool to one side I hope he pulls through

      Keep fighting Sir Alex

Of course, we hated him. We hated him because he wanted what Dalglish wanted, and what Benitez wanted, and what Klopp wants: the very best for his football team. If he was managing Liverpool FC he'd have been exactly the same and we'd have loved him and Utd fans would have hated him.

This time around I really hope he gets his extra 'Fergie time'.

There doesn't appear to have been any official word from the Hospital which may be a bit concerning.

A bleed on the brain at any stage of life has an extremely high mortality so for a 76 year old it’s worrying.

He is a fighter and hopefully he pulls through.

Just read that Fergie has Atrial Fibrillation in which case it probably would have been the anticoagulant that caused the bleed.

Read that he took a fall & banged his head which caused the bleed?

Wish him a full recovery, quality manager who kept company of our greats to learn from them & implement the blue print to the Mancs...

Out of interest how exactly are the Tories destroying the NHS, because I do agree it is fairly sh*t, compared to other European countries, and offers a crap service with scandal after scandal like the recent mesh implant issues and breast screening etc.
Some might say its not fit for purpose and needs modernising but oh no we can't do that either can we.

Sir Alex Ferguson: Probe after medical records reportedly accessed.

      https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-46419646

Staff at a Greater Manchester hospital are being investigated over reports they accessed Sir Alex Ferguson's medical records while he was there.

The former Manchester United manager had an emergency operation at the Salford Royal Hospital in May after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

Several staff are under investigation "in relation to an information governance breach", the hospital said.

"We have apologised unreservedly to the patient and their family," it added.

The Sunday Times reported two doctors, a senior consultant and at least two nurses accessed Sir Alex's records despite not being responsible for his care.

Sir Alex, 76, was admitted to the Salford Royal on 5 May and was in intensive care prior to his discharge in June.

He later released a video message thanking hospital staff for his treatment.

"Without those people who gave me such great care, I would not be here today," he said.

A spokeswoman for the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust declined to confirm the identity of the patient involved but said an "HR process" was under way.

The trust had also "reported the alleged breaches to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)", she said.

Dr Chris Brookes, chief medical officer for the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, which runs Salford Royal, said: "We can confirm that a number of staff who work at Salford Royal are currently subject to investigation in relation to an information governance breach.

"All of our patients have the right to expect that their information will be looked after securely and accessed appropriately.

"We take patient confidentiality extremely seriously ... and will take the appropriate action to ensure staff understand the seriousness of unauthorised access," Dr Brookes said.

Last year, the ICO publicly warned NHS staff about the "potentially serious consequences of prying into patients' medical records without a valid reason".

Since then four NHS staff have been prosecuted or fined in relation to accessing patients' medical information without authorisation, according to the ICO.

I work in a well know hospital, most things are electronic, and as such, files can be monitored, every year we have to go through IG training, essentially these people have broken their contract of employment. You can look at anyone's record, but you need a good reason, VIP's are a no go area, and we have a warning. I'd be surprised if they don't get sacked.
