Yeah only reason i say Lallana is that Klopp mentioned he would feature tomorrow. He probably wants to get minutes into him so he is a realistic back up option for the final.

Could be the Kewell of 05
Agree on Lallana, no other realistic starting option. Maybe Ings can replace him if he can't complete 90 minutes.

Fingers crossed Mane makes it. Strongest team possible going all out for a win. These lads need a good performance going into the final and I’m confident they will deliver it.

Regardless of only needing to draw, the game. Go out and win the game, secure CL spot for the club, giving the fans something to start their celebrations early.

get the point/points in the bag, we can all relax for a couple of weeks before the mayhem starts  .. :couch:

Mo just needs one for the Premier League record and if we go unbeaten .... at home ...it will be a record of seven times it has been done for a whole season.

However in the last five games we've only won once. Drawn three and lost one of 'em.

Only Stoke have fewer away points than Brighton.

One big effort to finish the league season of in style unbeaten at home and Mo with his record and then 2 weeks to look forward to Kiev.
I cant see anything other than a big win.

Surely after a weeks rest we should be able to put in a good performance tomorrow, I'll be quite dissappointed if we don't win quite convincingly.

By the same token, Brighton have also had a full week, to practice parking the bus😳

Fully expecting a frustrating and nervy first half and then a second where we start going through the gears and putting the game to bed.
      Going for a 3-0 win.

They played City mid week, and certainly didn't park the bus.

Luckily they can park their bus and we can park ours, a draw is fine and dandy for us, no problem. In all seriousness if they do this, which I very much doubt, then we should also play quite defensive to ensure they don't try to hit us on the counter.

Exactly, I would play a possession game without compromising our defence. No need to be extra offensive or creative, we just need to dominate the game.

I won't watch the match because I'm going to lunch with my mum. Happy Mother's day to all!

I reckon there could be a few goals today, obviously the bulk of them, scored by the Reds.

We cant expect to turn up in kiev bang on form unless we show some of it today. I reckon we will see a full blooded attack and quite a few goals for us.

I'm actually pretty excited about this match today. Expecting a big performance from the lads. Just hope Spurs fail to win so we can have the icing on the cake and head to the final having finished third.

Had hoped this would have been us cementing 2nd place but the positive I can take out of today is that the last league game of the season isn't our last game of the season.

Just get some early goals reds and lets make sure we're back in with the big boys next year.

Lot at stake for both Liverpool and Chelsea today - minimum £30+M even if you lose all the group games next year - not to be sniffed at.

But let's not forget that there is a bit at stake for both Brighton and Newcastle here.  Something like £12M difference between finishing 10th to 16th.

Just read in The Echo that the last time we faced Brighton at Anfield in the league was Oct. 30, 1982. So I looked it up on lfchistory.net.

We won 3-1 behind two goals from King Kenny and the opener from Mark Lawrenson. Brighton's goal came from Gerry Ryan. All goals were scored in the first half.

Our Starting XI: Bruce Grobbelaar, Phil Neal, Alan Kennedy, Phil Thompson, Ronnie Whelan, Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish, Sammy Lee, Ian Rush, Mark Lawrenson and Graeme Souness. David Hodgson was the lone sub for Bob Paisley's Reds (btw, want to see a great story? Click on Hodgson's bio on that site, the one about LFC director Moss, a trip to Tel Aviv and a drinking game gone wrong). Attendance was 27,929.

If Brighton defend deep,we MUST have more movement from our front players than we did vs. Chelsea. Need forwards showing for the ball and combining, and midfielders and fullbacks making runs into the box. An early goal would be so helpful in so many ways, not the least of which is for my digestive system.

Just looking forward to everybody giving it their all today and gunning for the win.

If they can show that desire and passion I am going to be much more confident about Kiev.
