Jürgen must feel his decision to leave the beach and come to Anfield was his best ever decision. I think I want to win the CL final more for him than anything else because he is the best and deserves the best.

The feel good vibe was fading due to our stuttering end to the league season and that was just a timely reminder that despite our small squad hampering us over a longer period, in a 1 off game when we need the win we can turn it on.

2 weeks rest now and 1 last 1 off game to go and a chance to take on a European giant toe to toe with the pressure of next years CL qualification out the window.

If we had started the season with Karius, VVD and Robbo established we would have conceded at least 10 less goals and probably more. No one can stress just how massive a gulf it was to not have VVD and have Mignolet and Moreno in Karius and Robbo's place. All three a considerable upgrade and stealthily included across the season without fanfare by Klopp.

It's easy to forget that we sold Coutinho in the middle of it all.

In fairness DeGea wasn't DeGea in his first full season and Karius is still yet to be given a full one. He's definitely pulled off some fantastic saves and like you said, has had a massive improvement on the side.
