Liverpool have opened discussions into the possibility of signing youngster Jordy Gaspar from Olympique Lyonnais, according to Téléfoot.
The French defender has been tipped to have a bright future ahead of him, and coaches at Lyon are desperate for him to sign a professional deal with the club amid interest from the Merseyside club.
Gaspar is yet to sign any sort of deal with the French giants, meaning that he would be available to leave on a free at the end of this season. This has turned the heads of clubs like Liverpool and AC Milan, with the English team seeking to reinforce their back-line after a number of defensive issues this season.

With the likes of Emre Can, Divock Origi and Joe Gomez in his side, Gaspar would slot well in to a side that Klopp clearly feels is the future of Reds.
Liverpool will face stiff competition from the likes of AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen for the teenager's signature. But with Klopp's history of developing young and exciting players, Gaspar is likely to look favourably on a move to Anfield.
