I love him and he is a world class player, but he’s been really poor so far this season. If you can get past him, he’s not going to catch you. He’s stuck in the mud.

I feel he’s suffering due to not having players with legs next to him. Having Gini and Hendo ahead of him made his job easier. Thiago is world class but he can’t get around the pitch like Gini could. That’s not necessarily a problem, but when the other 8 is Elliot, it makes Fab’s job more difficult, especially when he’s out of form.

We are crying out for a new number 8 who can get around the pitch.

it doesnt seem 5 mins since Gerrard Houlier brought him on as a sub. He didnt shout or pick on players he shouldered the burden himself and we need that kind of responsible leader now and we dont have it

As soon as I see Fab in the starting X1 I feel we can win any game. Understated never gets much credit but for me irreplaceable ...mind you I say that about most of our  first team. We are so so lucky just ask Keith

can I just point out I may well have been pissed when I wrote this.

      Spot on.

We don't have a leader we have a captain. We need a leader who says I'll do it if you lot won't. Someone who grabs the game by the scruff. Stevie vs Olympiakos. Stevie vs West Ham. Stevie vs..... pick a team.

Just to add my mate is a party organiser. He basically sorts out the v.i.p treatment for players etc. He took the Liverpool team out once and Flannagan was acting a tit. He said Stevie dragged Flanno to a corner, pinned him up against the wall, and told him we're Liverpool FC we don't behave like this in public.

Stevie scored v olympiakos but he didn't take game by scruff of neck that would of been Mellor and Pongolle

Wasn't this guy a RB at Monaco for a bit? Why don't we play him there and see how we get on?

Having nightmares about his botched clearence that led to their winner.

Reminded me of a kids game where everyone just tries to lash it as far they can and it goes all of 5 meters. That was so sh*t Fab, way off the F***ing pace. Looking so old and slow now all of a sudden!

He’s in shocking form at the moment. I’ve always said - when Fab plays well we win games.

F**k knows what’s happened as he’s supposed to be entering his prime years

Or the ball going through Van Dijk's legs on a cross that lead to another goal given up. It's like we're watching a live version of Space Jam, where someone put a spell on our players and now they cannot make simple plays.

I'd be more happy with 433 to be honest. Or 4213 with thiago slightly more advanced than the other 2.

Salah (nobody else really) Nunez/Bob and Jota the front 3

Henderson's form this season bar one or two games has been atrocious.

For me if Fabinho can get anything close to his best him and Thiago are a no brainer starting 2.

Out of all the players, he's the one who plays with the biggest lack of energy and what seem to be a lack of will. Its almost like he doesn't want to be there. A minute after coming on at the weekend he made a half hearted attempt at a clearance and then he stood there not pressing the opposite team's player he had just given the ball to (I think it was the whole stretch of play that led to the penalty).

There was also the whole incident with Klopp a few games ago (don't remember who was the opposition) where he burst a lung shouting at him from the sideline and the lad did not seem to care too much. A couple of games after that the gaffer decided to play a double pivot and completely omit him from he starting lineup which is telling.

I know the defensive side of Thiago's game is very underrated, but he's not supposed to look like the better DM when Fabinho is on the pitch. Except for a couple of games, Fabinho has looked like a cone for me. Not much movement, doesn't press much, doesn't run much, doesn't jump much, etc.

He looked like the Fab we have come to expect tonight. Thought he put in a real shift, hopefully he plays like that aginst City and for the rest of the Season.

Will be one of a few key differences between us having a chance Sunday or being cannon fodder for the Oil Sheikhs.
