Congratulations to Fabinho and his wife Rebecca on the birth of their first born child, a baby boy.

Might be available for the trip to Brentford on Monday.

      :lmao:

This the reason for the under-par performances this season.

Rebecca had him a bit tired!!

Think his legs have gone, time to get a younger version.

      Still keep Fab as backup.

What a sight seeing him trying to sprint.

      Tragic.

Indeed. He seems to be late every time now. I suspect he's tired to be alone in his task. Thiago can hardly tackle and run while Henderson does not have the energy any more.

      Agreed.....Been struggling all season mate.

Now he's a new Dad, probably getting even less time to recover from whatever niggles he must be carrying.

IMO the like of Fab, Hendo, Trent were seriously a victims as the cub negligently failed to prepare for their backups/rotation.

Not even close mate did you see his 15 min cameo today he plays like a 50 year old.

Night and day difference in mobility between him and young Bajcetic

Remember VVD in the 7-2 with Villa, that's been him most of this season up to the injury. Too many players all the same coming to start of or into early 30s

Again I'd say the same with VVD and Konate, he was F***ing awesome today.

You can say what about Mo what about Van Dijk but Fab is playing right in the engine room.

I dont want to believe it, he's 29 and it honestly shouldn't be true that his legs have gone at that age. But he was awful when he came on.

I’ve never seen a footballer collapse like he has. It’s absolutely bizarre. I mean he’s completely gone. And he’s 29?!

The curious case of Fabinho who turns from a midfielder in his prime to a geriatric in the space of a year.

      His mental side of the game isn't there either. To be honest, I've dreaded Fabihno being in the team ever since the game vs City after the world cup. After the game he done an interview and said;

“I felt good in the game against City. I was, I think, in the mood to play this game, I really wanted to play and try to help the team,”

Was he not in the mood to play the games before the world cup? Is he going to flit in and out of being in the mood to play future games.

Maybe he meant it differently to how he said it but to me, when a player who's form over the past year has crashed as much as what his has, that isn't what I want to be hearing from a player.

Think that's the 3rd game in a row where Fab has come on late and we've immediately gone from looking the better side to panic stations. His confidence/mental focus has obviously crashed. He was very lucky not to get a red card. Jürgen needs to keep him off the pitch for a prolonged spell. If Bajcetic needs to come off, put Hendo or Milner, or even Thiago, in the DM position. As soon as you see Fab get ready to come on, you just think "oh F**k no", and it looks like his team mates are thinking the same.

The guy's F***ing finished, whatever the reason. He has sunken to depths I really don't I've seen any player come back from.

It's so sad too, I really liked his ability to read plays and rely more on that skill that on mere physicality. Ironically, I thought that would mean he would continue to perform well into his 30s, since speed was never his forte. For a while now sadly he looks almost concussed, like he has 2000ms latency or something, and is always, always late to every play.

We simply don't have a world class DM in the team anymore.

As big a drop off in form as I've ever seen or can remember at least.

If he has any value I'd sell him in the summer.

Maybe the baby is keeping him awake all night.

The only reason I can think off why his form has turned to absolute sh*te!

Has to be moved on. That's the worst  I have ever seen him play!

I think all of us well known our players need backup/competitive and lack of that are not hard to predict our players become fatigue/injury. Fabinho is clearly affected badly from playing too many games, I just read interesting stats from an article on TIA.
