      Ronaldo: Confirmed signing.

Odd. Just happy to see him leave Real. Had enough of that story.

Yep, I think they'll go for him or Neymar now.

Hazard for sure, and I read somewhere that Neymar will have a BO clause next summer of 225m.

Love him or hate him, he's a legend.

      And a half.

Never cared for Ronaldo but when Salah had to be subbed off and he went up to Mo as he was walking off was a nice touch of class.

Ronaldo to Juve sucks, because Mane hardly shut the door on Madrid.

Not sure Ronaldo really cares about that, if he were brand aware he wouldn't be throwing cameras in the lake etc...
Ronaldo has been doing  too much questionable crap to suggest brand aware.

      😂

      Yeah yeah

He just brands himself CR7, does the same  shitty choreographed celebration every time he scores, pulls his shorts up and poses pre every free kick etc etc etc

But no he doesn't bother with any branding or sh*t

Even if he laughed like Ramos his brand would have been unaffected.
Ramos is just an utter knob, Ronaldo did a similar thing with a wink some time ago.
I think Ronaldo matured and Ramos is still a knob.
I just hope the domino affect from this move doesn't affect us.
      Anyway, the lake thing.

As long as our lads aren’t being chased by Madrid, I don’t give a toss.

Although it’s weird he’s signed for another Adidas team. Would’ve thought Nike would be pushing him to PSG so they can use his image rights.

We love to hate Ronaldo, and I do it as any other reds fan on this forum.
his behavior on the pitch, the celebration. The dives early in his career but off the pitch and when it comes to caring. It seems like he he is a nice guy. Camera or not, he is always there to meet and greet fans. Console players etc.

Hmm, I really never fully understood this. Let's say Adidas sponsor the team, can't a player in that team have a personal contract with Nike?

Adidas will promote the team shirt, but then the player can promote shoes or something for Nike?

Shame Mahrez has gone to City. Really rate him but now he's going to just be a rotational player, expensive one too.

To your first point, yes of course.

But it limits what the club can do with the player and when you have Ronaldo at your club, or Messi with his Adidas sponsorship at Barca (Nike), it’s a bit of a kick in the dick to not be able to use them more than they can.

What’s striking about the Ronaldo deal is that it’s for 4 yrs.
      he is 33
That’s some wedge for a player if that age.
      Regardless, his stats are ridiculous
My issue with Ronaldo and why I have always preferred Messi as a player is that Christiano to me is a total athlete. A trained and perfectly created athlete that has become one of the best players of all time.
Messi is a pure footballer of the highest quality. Utter instinctual genius.
Regardless, kind of impressed with him for taking the move and I bet Madrid are glad to be able to start again with a new and younger brand player for the long term.
Ronaldo’s move will be the start of a very high spending window. I can see a lot of top players moving around now.

Obviously used to hate him because of his ties with the mancs but as time has gone on I've become to appreciate what a player he is.

I hate the whole messi/Ronaldo debate. How can anybody say another player is better than messi? Or how can anybody say another player is better than Ronaldo. They're both freaks who are right at the top of their game.

For me Ronaldo is more of an all round footballer than messi. For a start, he's stronger with his weaker foot and he's better in the air too. He literally doesn't have a weakness he's like a robot.

Messi on the other hand understands the game more and he's always 1, 2, 3 steps ahead of his opponent. The way he brings his teammates into the game is an absolute joy to watch too.

Back to Ronaldo. I'm pleased he's gone to juve and I respect him more for that. Even though he's still on huge wedge, I read before that he could have moved to china for 4X the amount in wages etc.

He's obviously still competitive and moving to a team who is dominant in a slower league will help him keep his personal numbers/stats up as he moves towards the end of his career.
