SO do all three countries get a pass into the finals?
Yup, 60 of 80 games on US soil, including all matches from the quarterfinals onward, with the finals at Metlife Stadium in NJ, only a couple hours from me
Hope Mexico have a few games at and get to do up the Azteca Stadium.Always looks absolutely majestic when you watch the old World Cup films from 1970 and 1986.
They haven't decided yet apparently. Mexico and US "shouldn't" need auto bids (well who knows about the Americans) but Canada I would think will get one possibly because they won't qualify otherwise.
Unless they're changing the rules again, the hosts usually qualify automatically, plus aren't they including more teams from the next World Cup, so can't see it being a problem including Mexico, Canada and the US.
Yea the hosts qualify, but wasn't sure if we've had a multi-host deal before, so what I'd read was that they weren't sure how they were going to handle it. They are bumping up the number of teams though so maybe it takes care of itself.
Im absolutely flying about this. I'm already making plans to follow and travel with the "Outlaws". Maybe even catch an Ireland match. I went to the Irish/Italy match at the Meadowlands in 94' and it was amazing. The Irish contingent was insane. So were the Italians. The pre match parties in the lot were fantastic. The 2 biggest nationality groups in NY/NJ are Irish and Italian so it was a big deal. The Irish won and I watched Roberto Baggio in the World Cup.
