HELP NEEDED: Patch Coming off New Shirt
      Jun 16, 2018 05:51:14 pm
      Hi Team-

Apologies, I am not sure where this would go in the forum.

I purchased a brand new jersey, directly from LFC, right before the Champ league final. When i put it on i noticed that the 5x patch is already coming off! I have attached a picture below. Any advice on how to get this fixed? Sending it back to the UK doesn't make sense from a shipping cost perspective. Can it just be heated up again and stick?

I reached out to the club directly, but havent heard back. I am sure they have bigger fish to fry than my jersey hahaha.

      Any advice would be great.

      Thanks!

If you don't want to go down the return route then some 'wonder web' should do the trick I imagine,
Cut some thin strips and place behind the badge where it has come away ,place a damp cloth over the badge and put a hot. iron over the damp cloth for a few seconds.

Send it back to the club and get them to pay for the shipping. They’re F***ing expensive these things, so more than reasonable imo.

Come on, at least do it when the transfer windows shuts? Imagine missing out on a transfer by a few pounds because it was used to send you a new shirt?! Every penny counts towards these marquee players we are gonna sign during the window!!!

Make sure they listen.  Not cheap with all the patches etc so they should replace it no question about it.

This happened on my red and gold Reebok 2005 shirt. This is how i cured it. Moist flannel inside the arm so it is under the badge and then a moist flannel or towel on top of the badge. Heat the household iron and hold it on the towel on the top of the badge. Hold it there until it gets really hot and steams and remove the top towel, if it has stuck then good, if not just keep trying until it does.

The beauty of having the flannel/towel on the inside arm under the badge is that it creates steam from behind to melt the adhesive on the patch.

This worked for me without the use of anything other than the iron. This 5 times patch had been on the shirt for 6 years and it still stuck back and is still sticking now.

      Trust me, this will work.

Use duct tape.  Duct tape fixes everything.

If you love the shirt, take it to a tailor and have them sew it on.

This is exactly what I did! I do love the shirt, I got it to celebrate Mo and the season he had. Oh, and the Champions League final didn't hurt either. hahahaha.
