Thankfully none of mine went as far as the Debt Collectors.

I wouldn't think you have to advise the debt collectors or stepchange to be honest. Your complaint is against the PDL companies irresponibly lending to you no and one else.

I am delighted that this has worked out in your favour, as I despise the payday loan shark companies, but can I ask if your legal argument in this case was that you were unaware of the terms set by the payday loan company or that they misled you in some way?

It's basically that they lent you money irresponsibly, or too easily.

In most cases I was taking loans out which were higher than my disposable income, and some were actually as high as my total monthly income.

They failed to do the required checks or failed to do thorough checks to see if I was able to repay the loans without putting myself into further financial difficulty.

So do you not take any responsibility for your situation or actions yourself then or is there some other aspect I'm not aware of? For example are you equating it to an addict being manipulated by a dealer?
BTW I'm genuinely not casting aspersions here, I'm just curious to better understand this.

      You're fine.

Of course I take responsibility for my actions, it's not the first, second or in some cases the 3rd loans I've taken out with companies I'm complaining about. It's the one's they continued to lend me when they could see that I was borrowing again on the same day for a higher amount to cover the previous loan and with my income details they hold they can see that this is unaffordable to me.

OK I understand, thanks. In that case I am very happy that you've had a good resolution to this.

Been a while but got the Lending Stream one sorted finally.

Got just shy of £800.00 for it.

Only have one for to go and not sure what way it'll turn out but if I'm getting anything it'll only be a couple of hundred max.

So all in all I've got about £5,000 back.

First started the process on 27/11/16 so taken a year to get them all resolved.

      Well worth the wait though.

Hi, just put in for a claim, basically I started off with a wonga loan for a few days to cover my car insurance direct debit, by paying this back I needed another payday loan, to pay back wonga, since July 2017 I have been paying one off with another, for example, myjar to pay off wonga , cashasap etc, ,my concern is, the intrest I paid in total varied, all in all around £200, but is the compensation more for the affordability and misleading, as my credit score and bank statements prove I couldn’t afford them, or am I only looking at interest back plus abit more? I have had over 20 wonga loans so will I get just one set amount back ? thanks andy
