No. I watched City - Spurs.

Knew we'd go through. And if we didn't, then I'd be glad I missed it.

Can't stand that little turd Sterling.  Would have LOVED to have seen his face when his goal was disallowed.
How dramatic was that finish though, Eriksson would have had a tough time recovering if it'd been given.
Delighted for Spuds - hopefully gives them the confidence to go there and get another result in the PL.

Seem to have been watching City spurs
I didn't see all this in the other game

Two screens mate, and two eyes, I could keep one on each of the games. ;)

In all honesty though, I switched over once our game went into extra time because I figured there'd be some drama (wasn't disappointed).

Nah. I'm 50 years old and it's made me reflect a little. I now pick and choose which Liverpool games to watch (which is still about 97% of them). I love the club as much as I ever did and always will. I've just realised football is just a game and it doesn't define my life like it used to.

Besides, the wife had it on the iPad right next to me so I knew what was happening.

Don't get me wrong, if the Porto game was close, then, of course, I'd watch it. Like I said though, I knew we'd go through.

God, I wish their next game would've been in the new stadium. It would've been perfect for us. Spuds fans going wild at home after what happened tonight + the already shaky City players would've given me that much more confidence about them being able to hold them one more time.

Don't worry about it. I flicked at the end to see how it ended and was glad I did. Great ending to a great night of footy.

      But apparently I'm weird.

I was flicking between our game and City/Spurs after Salah scored. Our game was boring as F**k, the other game was absolute madness and entertaining. So happy City got dumped out the way they did though - perfect.

It's a perfect week really. First, we put two past Chelski, one of them being an absolute screamer. Then sh*t-Utd got destroyed on aggregate and dumped out of the competition. We won our tie 6-1, Gomez is back and managed to get decent minutes under his belt and to top it all off Qatar FC just got slapped right across the face once again in the CL.

After that, all I can see is City looking to destroy Spurs. Payback.
If you see sane face just before he came on, the Lad was not happy... Real are rumored  to be interested in Mane and should he go (Can't see it myself) but should he go I would; if I were Klopp, put in a bid for Sane straight away. May not convince him money wise but taking Mane place would give him regular first team football with a club that is going places fast ;D

The 2nd leg at home against Barca is scheduled for 07/05 and we play Newcastle away at 16:30 on 05/05. 2 days rest? Surely something has to move there...

I still maintain I picked the right game to watch.

It was absolutely thrilling, insane, one of those games where you'd say "I was there" (if of course you were actually there - and not watching it in bed like was :D). There were 4 goals in the first 11 minutes! That set the tone and it rarely let up.

There was VAR, there was City scoring close to 90mins, where the Eithad went utterly ballistic - only for a complete turn around 2 minutes later. It was so emotional, so crazy and very exciting. And of course, we all saw City brought back down to earth. Quadruple my foot.

Whereas we were 2-0 up and it was practically game over.

Anyway, that result either fires City to greater things or it mentally scars them for a while. Whilst I think City will look to destroy Spurs, I have to remind myself that City this season were aaaaalll about the Champions League. So I think that will take some of the wind out of their sails. I hope.
