How dare we spend £13 mil on a player how can UTD possibly compete with that. They look  a shambles no wonder Maureen is looking for the exit door before he is sacked

If you consider that that was against the strongest team Utd can currently field and we swapped out the entire team then it was even more impressive. Special mention to Shaq, what a player we potentially have, strong, fast, good vision and capable of fantastic skill as well, great goal.

Really dominant performance from start to finish, passed it well, good tempo and movement, got into good positions, pressed the ball well and capped off by a spectacular finish from Shakira. Lots of positives from the game. studies gets another goal and continues to look sharp (that's 4 goals for him now), Lallana looks fit which is another huge plus. An assist and a goal for Shakira couldn't have gone better. Solanke and Fabinho bo had solid games and I was also I presed  Nice again with young Phillips at the back, there was a moment when he was one on one with Sanchez and a step behind but he stayed on his feet, read the fake and got a block on a shot when it should have been a goal all day.

I agree Utd looked really sh*t today, and by all their arguing and negativity you get the sense that it's not a happy group.

Christ almighty - Ian Darke really is a Manc arse licking Partridgesque arsehole. One of the worst commentators around. Someone tell him to shut the f**k up as well. Commentators don't ALWAYS have to talk.

For American TV, apparently they do.

      What an interesting penalty.

Firstly, was that a contest with Sturridge? or was Sturridge offering counsel? Being the Captain, there's no way he would have been told what to do by Ojo.

Secondly, what a lovely penalty. Keeper trying to play mind games, Ojo just embarrassed him by slotting the coolest penalty to the other side!!  ;D
and totally reacts to his goal like "I do this all the time" - never pays the slightest attention to the keeper. Love it. Great counsel by Sturridge before and after. I agree with Crouch - would like to see Sheyi stay here this season, but definitely not sold.

I don't think he is good enough myself, I'm not sure how many minutes he could get even allowing for the league cup?

Needs experience, but the skill and explosiveness are there. He was looking very good two seasons ago in preseason before he got injured. If Shaq is going to play #10, when we rotate the forwards (not often I know), I think he is a good shout to start in one of the wide spots. Looks like he blends well with Sturridge as well.

But I'll let the experts decide in the end.

Only preseason, but a few things to get excited about:

      1.  The interplay between Mane and Salah is incredible!  Those two seem to know exactly what the other is thinking.  They are going to destroy defenses again this season.

      2.  Studge looks hungry and he's showing that he is still one of the best finishers around.  I'm not going to get too excited as he could get injured at any moment.  However, if he can stay fit and be a regular option for us from the bench, then he will score a shed load of goals by coming on late and taking advantage of tired opposition legs.

      3.  Shaqiri -- take a bow son.  F**k me, what a debut!!!  He looks like he's got a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove he belongs at a top club.  More of the same and he'll be a fan favorite in no time!!

      This is the year!!

Anyone who is surprised by and questioned Shaqiri’s talent and ability needs to take a step back from posting opinions on any of our current or future players for a while.
It was blindingly obvious that he is a damn good player.

People have a right to question his ability... he played for Stoke for F**k sake and everyone hates those cu*ts.

Fair play to him, he looks quality.

To the tune of bicycle race by queen

He likes to score a bicycle he likes to score a goal (x2)

      SHAQIRI, SHAQIRI, SHAQIRI, SHAQIRI

Well, Master.  How long do I have to wait? Hmm? Looked great today, no doubt about it.

But I'm suddenly more intrigued at your lordship over these boards.

I mentioned elsewhere that he has seemed to me like wanting to be fired for a while now. I presume he's got the golden parachute and all that.
