That's a red card by Jones, luckily it's only a friendly and the Torino player didn't milk it.

After we have bought Alisson and the fans are relieved to know Karius will not be the #1 keeper..

No its empathy for a lad who has been to hell and back and we need a number two goalkeeper

Lovely pass by Hendo to Shaq and sumptuous cross to Sturridge for the goal.

I agree!! Can't wait to see him link up with our front 3, or even as a false 9!

      Karius clean sheet …
We have Clyne back,Lallana back a new improved Danny Sturridge back three players who could really make a positive impact on the season and that's without our new signings. I think I will send Jürgen some headache tables how do you pick 11 players for Sunday.

Not sure about Shaqiri on the right, I think he is far better in the middle, but that would mean us playing the double pivot imo.

I don't think he likes playing out wide either but if he wants to play he will have to adapt and he has done well tonight out wide

      We have Mignolet.

Sure, there's empathy there. But it's not "support" like, "wow Karius. You are great".  ;)

who said it was ...nobody so why even post that crap. The lad is a Liverpool player and has been abused and threatened because he fu**ed up bigtime but he didn't do it on purpose so if a few applause can help him regain some confidence and help him put that night behind him then what is the problem I don't understand you

Well that's that then, roll on the season! Another solid pre-season win. Stars of the. Pre season have been Keita (for the first half of it) and then Shakiri (for the 2nd). A rejuvenated Studge gets the overall award though with his 6 goals (I think it's 6?).

New signings have all settled well, no major injuries to worry about. Lallana and Clyne have looked sharp coming back from injury and it looks like we might have another promising youngster in Jones.

      Enjoyed that, very much.
Thought the game was quick paced and Torino we're a good side who can play football alright.
Thought our first half movement was sublime and it was good to see Gini making those runs into the box off the front three.
Keita and Fabhino make a hell of a difference in the movement going forward.
Mane looked sharp as did Trent.
Mo and Bobby picked up where they left off in May.
Second half was a bit slower from us but still confident in the pass and move build up play.
      Studge looks a different player.

All in all the perfect starter for the full roast carvery on Sunday.

      Bring it on !!

Fabinho and Sturridge has been my pick for pre-season, with Shaqiri impressing and our youngsters, Camacho, Jones and Phillips playing very well also.

Keita was very good first half of pre-season, but slowed down the 2nd. I think it may take a few more games for him to really settle in and notch it up a gear or 2.

What was the final score?  Who got the goals?

Firmino (Salah assist) and Wijnaldum (Firmino assist) , then Bellotti with a powerful headed goal (unsaveable) making it 2-1, and Sturridge (Shaqiri assist) in the 2nd half.

Check out the Wijnaldum goal when you can, it was a beautiful team goal!!

Shaqiri has impressed since he joined the pre-season. He did everything for Sturridge's goal today.

      Fabinho 5

Started here but won't be starting against West Ham on this evidence. Clearly yet to come to terms to Liverpool's style of play, and even the chance to bolster confidence resulted in a bad penalty miss. Dropped into centre-back after the break.

Huh? Did anyone else think he had a bad game? I thought he was exceptional with Wijnaldum in the first half.

Bit strange only giving him a 5, penalty miss aside he played very well.

If that performance is only a 5 the bar has been set sky high for the expected standard this season.
