Ah not again, I've spoken about Neymar enough already haha! He's world class but there's a lot about him I don't like. Not a huge fan of his movie star personality and all that, but he's very charismatic and other players really look up to him. He's a great player though not in the god-like level of Messi or Ronaldo. I don't generally have a huge problem with his big ego but if he wants to make it all about himself (like those fake tears against Costa Rica), then he must know he'll bear the responsibility for failure. But although he relishes pressure, he doesn't seem willing to accept the responsibility, and has been in silence since yesterday and it wouldn't surprise me if he made some comments as he was some sort of victim in the future.
He's not the reason Brazil are out though as much as some people will try to make that narrative, Belgium were very lucky yesterday if truth be told. They're a good team but hasn't even played that great, which is what frustrates me the most. If you look at the expected goals stats for that game, for instance, Brazil were all over them and Belgium actually created very little, but got lucky with an own goal early on that changed everything. Despite its flaws Brazil were probably the most consistent side in that competition, defensively and in creating chances, so for me it was a mixture of bad luck and some questionable decisions that were their downfall. When you're playing against the likes of De Bruyne, small margins matter, and having the walking brain fart who is Fernandinho in the team, or a ghost striker like Jesus certainly didn't help.
Sorry mate, I can understand you get asked about it all the time. Brazil were my pick to win the whole thing to be honest, no idea who will win now, crazy World Cup.
I hope the Brazil manager keeps the job, seems like he’s done a great job since Dunga
