Midfield so much more dynamic with him in it. Lovely goal as well.

What a beautiful finish - so composed (imagine Danny Ings or Origi going for that, you know it’s going into row Z)

I loved the Andy Robertson signing last year and this was my favorite this offseason. If I tell u boys there are blue berries in your back yard it’s best you just go get a bucket.

I don't understand why Klopp doesn't give Shaq a playmaker role in the central midfield, kind of what Gini usually does. In that role we could even more benefit from his technique and skills, Gini just manages the game, Shaq could get it going. Instead Shaq is only used as a disguised striker on the right side. He's basically striker No. 4, behind the big 3 and in front of Sturridge. That seems to be a waste of talent.

Firmino is playing the 10 I reckon. Shaqiri more to the right, with TAA giving the width.

      Was my thinking too..

I’d like to see Firmino as the 9, Salah & Mane on the wings with Shaw tucked in as the 10..

at least he was played, we can all be thankful for that . but after the international break Klopp will probably revert back to his dreary trio of Hendo, Milner and Wijnaldum.

From my POV our best midfield at the moment is Fabinho, Keita and Shaq with the others filling in when needed. That midfield will provide so much more service to the fornt three and link the whole team together.

I have to admit, I was wrong about Shaq....  Not that I didn't expect him to be a good player or a useful signing -- I always believed that he would be a good player for us.  However, I didn't expect him to be anything more than a squad player to add some depth out wide.  Someone to give Mane and/or Salah a breather.  I didn't think he had the skill set or discipline to play as part of the midfield 3, nor the creativity or passing ability to play as a #10 in a 4-2-3-1 setup.  But, I was wrong.  The little man has, in my opinion, played himself into being an automatic starter.  We need him on the field, the same way we need the likes of Salah, Mane, VVD, and Robbo on the field.

The new problem created from Shaq forcing his way into the best 11 is that now we lack depth in the attacking positions again.  Fekir anyone ???

Smashing it against Belgium - he’s gone up another level already.

Shaqiri is probably one of the best #10 in the world, but we don't use that kind of player in our setup. Two DM + #10 doesn't work either. I'm not sure how he fits in yet, it's the same problem we had with Coutinho. He's probably going to need to rotate in the forward role later on, we've got a busy December so I'm assuming he will go in anywhere in that front 3, but with Man City as next game, should be start ahead of Firmino?  There are ways we can have both Firmini and Shaqiri perhaps. If you see below, this might work if Gini is CM.

                        Bob
           Salah             Mane

                     Shaqiri

         Hendo              Gini

        TAA                         Rob
                 Gomez  VVD

                      Alisson

The good thing with this is Keita can interchange with Shaqiri, Hendo interchange with Fabinho and if there's a problem with a front 3 Shaqiri can slot in three and Lallana can go in behind the front 3. Some people would argue this lacks midfield strength, but I'm not sure it does. We need a balance in midfield and recently we've lost creativity but had record clean sheets. I'm not complaining about the clean sheets but surely Shaqiri is the missing piece we have but didn't put in the puzzle yet.

Bit of a bargain alright. Good shot on him and in games where we're on top but struggling for a goal, great option to have.  Shots were deflected, but he was there, and he hit them - you don't shoot, you won't score :) Well in Shaq.

Shaqiri was the difference today, both goals were kind of lucky, but they were still goals that won us the match!

what was it Neville said about him? I think Shaq might just have something to say to RatBoy if he ever had the guts to speak to him face to face. He has been nothing short of brilliant in a red shirt 10 our of 10
